Literally spent the past few hours planning out where some that i think i like are moored so i can have a stand on/in some. Thinking that might give me a better idea of what i should be looking for..

during lockdown i fell in to year long youtube rabbit hole about sailing, even now i still follow some of the big youtubers on there, its fascinates me! i feel im too poor though to genuinely make a go of it in this country at least. when i looked into it, finding a marina that allowed liveaboards near me and at a reasonable price was pretty tough!

Beffor you look for a Boot Investigate where you will keep it what the mooring cost is then how much fule it will use / cost of electrical hook up, water and waste water. Etc.

Are you looking to take it out to sea..

I was leaning more away from marinas and moorings.. life at anchor/sea - the freedom to be anywhere. How i'd earn enough to keep that going, next question haha

No if you can afford that go for it but if its a decent size vesal you will need training first and a licence to get in to a port for fule and supply's might also need crew

I’m a commercial yacht skipper to 200gt! The training etc is advisable you will find life a lot easier especially if you ever want to go to Europe!

Insurance is mandatory in harbours and marinas, depending on what vessel then some insurers make it mandatory to have a level of training etc!

Europe ports you have to have a license to take a vessel into their ports unless in an emergency
