Am I the only one who gets frustrated by read but not replied to messages. I completely understand that (I imagine) the women on Fab have 100s to get through. But if you are not interested, say so, so we can get on finding someone to have fun with. Block me, that's great, saves time. I know I'm not everyone's type, so won't be offended. Or is there a legitimate reason, or am I overreacting

No reply is a reply in itself, just move on. Nobody is obliged to return a message, and likewise nobody is entitled to receive one.

You know you could... 'get on with finding someone to have fun with'

Without awaiting a reply

Send the message then delete it from your sent folder. That way, you'll never know if they read it / left you unread or blocked you. If they do reply, it'll be a nice surprise.

I guess, as I do read profiles, "fill out the subject lines with your favourite animal if you've read this far" and sent a face pic, and various other requests, to see it has been read and then nothing is a bit frustrating. But as an earlier poster said, no one is entitled to a reply. Guess I'm just having a moan. Happy fabbing all x

Refresh your hotlist regularly and delete all sent messages that have been read and the person has been back on line since they've read it. Treat every week as a chance to get a meet if that's why you send messages and start afresh if your not getting any success with a new plan. Fab can be as exciting as it can be disheartening buts that's why so many love it

I know it must be frustrating. Would it be helpful if you blocked people who read and don't reply

You are probably right. I imagine for every one of me, who says thanks and happy fabbing if I get a no thank you or not my type, you get, unfortunately, some negative replys.

Have done, but it seems a little mean spirited. Maybe I wasn't for them today, not feeling it etc. That's why I'd prefer a no thanks/block. But it feels more of a me problem I think lol

For a experiment why you take off ""Not looking for single guys"" on your profile. And see will you reply to very guy that's message you.

I must be quite old fashioned. I would appreciate a thanks but no thanks reply. Not all men react in the same way and instantly get offended when being told no.

Reading someone’s profile and meeting the requirements in said profile only for it to be deleted does come over as rude sorry but it just does.

I’ve often thought that women (who let’s face it must get 100’s of emails daily) should have an extra optional button they can select which would send the sender a polite ‘thanks for your interest but your not what I’m looking for’ without it being taken off their email allocation.

Perhaps I’m thinking too much. Just think they’re things that can be improved upon.

Yeah, that works except if they did not read it because they had too many there is still a chance, had they read it, that they would be interested.

I always invite folks to delete my message if the are not interested. (Why would they want a message from someone they were not interested in clogging up their in box?) If they read it and leave it undeleted I consider they are thinking about it. Ever the optomist.
