I we are thinking of going there to stay in a few weeks a weekend is there much happening there

If you haven't already been, it's in a good location, as long as you don't want an early night. Normally a band on a Saturday, good old fashioned pub almost next door for people my age. Loads of bars, restaurants posh bars rough bars, whatever you want, as long as it's a bar.
