What kind of food do you eat and type of drinking holes do you prefer? I lived there for a while and my mum has been there 16/17 years so I know the place pretty well. | |||

Assume you're staying near Lord Street (which is the main Street in the centre of town)? What kind of food do you eat and type of drinking holes do you prefer? I lived there for a while and my mum has been there 16/17 years so I know the place pretty well."Yea im staying in the centre-ish. Not fussy with food anything is good with me(well maybe not kebab shops etc) and anything again when it comes to drinking holes dont want mad night just few bevvies and hopefully a decent laugh. Yea im staying in the centre-ish. Blackpool is too much of a pain in tha arse to get to from Southport so not really an option (even though you can see it from the seafront you have to travel via Preston inland to get there).
O'Leary's Irish Bar is pretty decent and it's just off the main drag. Always has live music on at the weekend. There are loads of other bars nearby so I'd suggest just wander in and out of a few and see what takes your fancy.
There's an Italian a couple of mins away called Tratorria 51 and Mamma Mia's is popular with the locals.
Also a really good Indian nearby apparently that I've been recommended but not tried yet (Kalash Divine).

"That great thanks for the info. Il prob end up in the italian then find somewhere for a few drinks. Is liverpool that mad of a night then? Im up southport for 3nights so hoping to find people to socialise with. Hope the people aint like the some of the idiots i met in doncaster few weeks ago | |||
