Its on. I think festivals at this time are ridiculous. The rate on the island has gone up considerably because of the amount of people here in the summer. Now to add to it you have thousands coming over for this. I dnt object to people enjoying themselves. But the amount who dnt give a damn about social distance or mask wearing puts others in danger. So I hope its worth it. May come at a high price

No worse than a football match and the numbers aren't spiking as a result

Plus the average age is a bit older so probably more sensible

Kill joy

A bit older? Families taking children. Teenagers. People in there 20 30 40 50 60. No dnt think they are older . I live there i see the age groups. I dnt agree with any big gathering we are just pulling ourselves out of the COVID SHIT why fall right back in it. Makes no sense

Saw them at Scarborough on the 10/9 their first U.K. gig in ages, they were very good even if GL did forget the words at times

Have recorded the IOW gig will give it a watch

I thought most people were good and catered for all tastes. Funniest thing was Liam falling out of the helicopter breaking his nose and when asked how far he had fallen he said a 1000 feet

Learnt 2 things… take camping chairs and don’t stay in the campsite with all the youngsters… never got a wink of sleep. Also the 2 girls in the tent next door brought back 4 guys to spoil them and could be heard performing.. not good when you are in the next tent with your daughter and had to pretend I was asleep!

"Excuse me for asking but was it expensive?"

Ticket is around £200

Beer £6 a pint

Ferry will cost both your kidneys and selling your soul to the devil.

Enjoy.

Line up for 2022 is awesome

It isnt the most expensive festival out there, and you can bring your own booze for the campsites, you can cook your own food too

Just got tickets for next year!! I've only ever been in a campervan before. How long is the walk from the car parks to where you pitch up? I've done the hour walk with all the stuff before elsewhere and wondered if IOW was the same?

Depends where you are but no more than 1/2 hr. Also consider going on the passenger ferry as it’s much cheaper and easier but you can’t take so much stuff so there is a compromise. We camped in mellow yellow and you are less than 5 minutes walk to the buses and similar for the coop.

Not sure if I will go next year may try bestival at Lutterworth which has a similar vibe. Nothing wrong with the IOW but after 2 years thinking about a change.. however that may change. Certainly enjoyed this year… hopefully the weather will be kind to you and your friend
