If anyone in the Chi area knows of anything to rent for two of our kids then kindly drop us a line thank you.

No we don’t want phone fun or Skype fun but thank you very much.

Because many people have moved out of cities and London into countryside and seaside there is a huge demand here now. One local agent recently said there were only 14 properties available to rent in Chichester instead of the over 100 more usual. Have you looked on www.spareroom.co.uk? May be able to find 2 rooms in a shared property. Might get marginally better from September when property stops being just holiday let’s. Good luck from sunny Sussex.

Yes LM we have registered with all local agents and house shares are not good for our daughter as she has SAD and struggles around strangers so I’m thinking she may have to stay in halls for her last year but our youngest is going to music college in Worthing in September so it would have been idea to put them together for both their sakes but it’s proving difficult to say the least.

We may have to look further afield!!!!

Thanks

Tony

Yes unfortunately people are being priced out of the market. Worthing is even more expensive than Chichester for property as it’s nearer to Brighton and London. I feel for young people as the last year has totally disrupted their student experience.

Portsmouth

You could try Portsmouth - there’s a lot more rental places and it’s only half an hour away by train?

Thank you mr Fox and we may indeed have to go further afield in our search but the problem is that one is on the Brinsbury campus and one is in Worthing but Portsmouth is a possible option.

I think one of the bigger problems you may encounter is that most property owners will not rent out a 2 bed to 2 young students, even with parent guarantees.
