Does anyone know if Blackpool's swingers clubs have to hold Sexual Entertainment Venue licences or similar and are therefore being subjected to this horrendous consultation the Council has instigated which threatens strip clubs and sex workers in the area?

Yes, I think they do. Not only is it unfair on the swingers clubs, as they don't technically put on sexual entertainment, it is also very restrictive to anyone who wishes to have that kind of fun in their otherwise vanilla venue. It's why there are so few topless bars, no venue organised stag and hen nights, and why Blackpool has gone down hill since its heyday back when there was no such thing as the SEV licence. I know that I, for one, would love to see half naked bar staff, go to pubs and clubs with erotic dancers in cages, and would love Blackpool return to its original sin filled days. In the councils attempt to "Clean up" Blackpool they have all but destroyed what made Blackpool such a tourist destination that it was: Erotic and sexy.

Thank you. Are any of the clubs speaking out and/or getting involved in the planned protests with the stripper/sex worker community do you know?

Not that I know of. I think most just accept it as a necessary evil in the world of adult pleasures.

If I'm wrong on any of my points, its just what I've gleaned from experience over the last few years.
