I hate that expression (you know, great body...but her face).

I recently (well not that recently) went on a date with a girl who used the phrase to describe herself and I was astounded. It was a bit sad. She did have an incredible figure, and was a good looking girl. But mad to think that some people can’t appreciate the allure of their figure.

Some, well loads of people have very low self esteem. It's rife actually. There are unfortunately a lot of phrases designed to help those people and others reinforce their opinion.

One that used to be widely used was "nice legs, shame about the face".

I can't think of any that refer to men.

I'm not a man so can't speak from their perspective but their does seem to be an assumption that a woman's worth is somehow tied up in how she looks

Yeah I know women judge other women on their looks all the time.
