I would have popped over, but I recently looked at both Red Funnel and Wightlink sites, they are taking limited bookings, so its not easy to get the sailing required, and worst of all they have both severely increased their prices, Wightlink have always been more expensive but over £80 to take a car over for the day return is a piss take, I was hoping to come over for the day or a few days and stay in a hotel, visit the nudist beach between Niton and Blackgang, but the hotels have also increased their prices. I for one won't be returning to the island for a long time

And I have heard, that the hovercraft is only taking bookings which are joint bookings between the hovercraft and the rail link, plus they are limiting the amount of people travelling, linits sailings too, stops around 8pm etc
