Depends on how much you want to spend as Bristol is very expensive. Clifton, Redland and the central (BS1) areas are close but the most expensive. Southville, Bedminster, Totterdown, St George, Montpelier, St Werburghs and St Andrews/Bishopston are good areas and not too far away.

All depends on budget, but Montpellier would be a good start, close enough to the centre and just about affordable.

If you know people it's fine, just like Easton, St Pauls and Hartcliffe. If not don't go walking around at night by yourself

I was at the protest, very impactful scene. Was very happy to see the moment. Love how quickly the google maps and Wikipedia details were updated.

The Easton and st Paul's etc of old are long gone..it's all much safer and less troublesome than of the 80s and 90s in terms of your personal safety..i walk through regularly in the wee small hours and outs perfectly fine..

The only thing I'll say is you still probably wouldn't go out and leave your downstairs windows open

But their aren't too places these days that you would are there?
