Bangkok Post report, 14-6-19

“The Department of Disease Control on Friday announced a dengue haemorrhagic fever epidemic this year as there have been 28,785 patients, 43 of whom died.

The situation is the same in Thailand's neighbouring countries thanks to a similar climate and conditions. The epidemic is attributed to failure to control mosquito larvae.”

Dengue fever is spread by the bites from female mosquitoes of several species of the Aedes type. The males don’t carry the virus.
