Venice Carnival February

Has anyone been to the Venice Carnival in February?

Scarlett and I are booking for next year and wondered if anyone has been to one of the many Masquerade Balls and maybe has any tips of where to hire the costumes etc, etc?

We’ve stayed in Venice for the summer Redentore Festival several times but never been in Winter. It looks spectacular
