We have talked about going to Kasteel Waterloo for quite a while and for one reason or another never quite got around to it, until now.
The club is located between Venlo and Roermond (more about Roermond later) and while in Holland it is right next to the German border. Anyone visiting Amsterdam or Rotterdam could hire a car and be there in around an hour.
We finally went on Friday night (28th Sept)
We chose Friday night as we fancied the "Naked Group Sex" theme and these days we tend to prefer events where there will be a few single guys. On Saturdays some are mixed and others are couples only. We had also been told that Friday's were best for some action.
We arrived just before the 8pm opening time and had to wait at the gate for a few minutes, but in that few minutes quite a few other cars had started to queue behind us. It wasn't long before someone came to unlock the gate and direct us to the car park.
The club itself really is an old castle and quite an impressive building. We went in and found our way to the locker room and (as is expected) got naked straight away.
First thing was to take a walk around the place, it would have been better if someone had shown us around, but we'd already done the virtual tour on line so we half knew the layout.
The club is on two floors with bar, lounge, dance area, and smoking room on the ground floor and seven play rooms upstairs.
Once done we settled into the bar for a drink and then moved into the restaurant for something to eat.
The buffet was good but the selection and variety was nowhere near the standards of Fun4two or Fata Morgana. However at 30€ for a couple (including all drinks as well) it is around a third of the price of both, so we thought it was good value.
The place filled up quickly and we guessed that there were around 30-40 couples and maybe around 20 single guys.
Unusually, compared to other clubs we go to, the action started quite early. We took a walk upstairs at 9.30 and there was lots going on which is a good hour earlier than we expect in the German clubs.
Needless to say we got involved and both had some fun (details I will leave to your imagination) and as the evening went on we went back up a couple more times and had fun every time.
By around midnight we noticed that it had started to thin out a bit and a regular couple we spoke to told us that it was normal for people to turn up early, eat, drink, fuck and go and while the place is open until 3 am at that time there are very few still around.
We called it quits at about 1am and went back to the hotel.
I mentioned Roermond at the beginning because we decided to go shopping there on the Saturday.
It is a very nice old Dutch town which has a nice shopping centre and a small Saturday market, but it also has (allegedly) the biggest designer outlet centre in Europe. While designer labels are not really our thing we have to say that the centre was very impressive and absolutely packed with shoppers from all over the place. We heard English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch (of course) and quite a few others we didn't recognise.
So to sum up. If any Fabbers are over in Holland by car or want to hire one while there. We would strongly recommend a swinging/shopping weekend there.
