Crete recommendations

Anyone got any recommendations of where to go in Crete? Not just swinging related, although that would be appreciated too.

We are naturists, so beach recommendations would definitely be appreciated.

We will be in the quiet south of the island but will be travelling around by car.

So nightclubs are of interest too as well as sightseeing.

Is a good reference for nudist beaches.

Beaches that are mainly textile but really deserve a visit

balos beware of the road that can be quite bumpy so slow driving

The last three years I've been to plakies lovely sandy beach,

If you go there to get to the nude beach when you get there turn left when you see the beach go to the end the nude beach is there,

You can higher sun beds there,also nice place for food on the beach just before the nude beach.

Elafonissi or Balos are an absolute must.

Glorious sandy beach and clear water.

Balos is prettier but Elafonissi is more practical and nearly as breath taking as Balos.

Thanks for the recommendation. However, the apartment we booked has turned out to be absolutely ideal. We are 20 metres from a long, golden sandy beach that is virtually deserted all day and where we can go nude with no fears of upsetting any textiles!
