Aberdeen

Has anyone visited Gdansk and can recommend good hotels or bars / clubs to visit. Is there much of a swing scene there?

Didn't notice much of a swinger scene, but my favourite bar was Jozef K, rammed with hippy, bohemian type locals and international tourists....fill your boots in there!

We stayed at the ibis, new and cheap and walking distance to the station and the old town (about 5 minutes to each)

Middlesbrough

Can recommend Celestin Residence, great location just off the harbour and crane, but in a quiet residential street. Not the cheapest, but very good.

Bar Wodka & Piwi, side street near Neptunes Fountain. Wodka is 4 zl, as is the beer etc. Old Polish style bar with newspapers covering the wall, one not to miss Open 9 am - 4 am, 7 days per week.

Not aware of any scene as is the case in a lot of Poland apart from Warsaw.
