"I'd like to post a review of Bunkr in Prague, the new venue of 'Praha 1' (confusingly now in Praha 4). In short - unlikely setting, fun Saturday night. The club is about 15mins in a taxi South of the centre and welcoming of single guys and couples. I have never seen a more unlikely setting for a club - in the base of a huge tower block, in a residential area, with only one discrete and unlit sign and no door bell! I thought on more than one occasion, "What the hell am I doing here?!" The square concrete towerblock houses a warren of square concrete rooms inside. I was charged about 30 quid for entry/ membership. However once you get in to the club proper all this changes. They have tried really hard to make the environment as sexy as possible and for the most part they've succeeded. You strip off (towels or lingerie, Chameleons style) at entry. There rooms are designed to have a variety of open, closed, private and voyeur areas. There's a medical room, glory holes, and a big bar where most people hung out chatting. The beer was cold and cheap, and there was a pretty extensive buffet. The big upside were the people. Mostly young (late twenties to 40s), mostly slim, mostly friendly. There were no real cliques, people were keen to chat and put on shows. Most people spoke enough English for us to communicate. Most people were there to play rather than to socialise. I got there at 1030 and left at 2am. The staff were helpful in calling me a taxi when needed. I liked the relaxed vibe there. It was a really enjoyable night in the most unlikely of locations." Nice one, I love Prague, but only when I can get away from the tourist shite. I'm definitely going to find out more about this for my next trip, thanks. | |||
