but everyone has a different view- Gran Canaria clubs not that good and the beach also imao

Cape d adge a million times better than mas Palomas... and so much more classy.

Was at mas palomas 3 weeks ago and d adge last year... night and day.

Never had a bad time holidaying in GC, but never been to Cap so cannot compare......its on the "things to do" list though

One mans furry handcuffs is anothers 20 lashes, when it comes to whats best!

No comparison whatsoever. Cap d'Agde is THE undisputed destination of choice for Swingers from all over the world whereas Gran Canaria has just the one lifestyle apartment complex and a few Clubs. Great for a winter break but no one can seriously compare Gran Canaria to Cap d'Agde.

Whilst we like Mirage and Gran Canaria generally we do find that the place gets spammed to death on this forum. There should be a La Mirage/Gran Canaria/Come back Bar Sticky so the usual suspects don't have to keep posting the same thing every couple of weeks.

Been going to both Cap and Gran Canaria for the last 5 years and have to agree Nothing comes close to Cap as far as Swinging goes but come September through to May its Gran Canaria all the way, Cap closes shop for the winter months while the sun sea sand and Sex continues all year round in Gran Canaria.

we love gran canaries but for swinging it is not good all the clubs are very small and empty! best place we thought was the boys at the come back bar we even got there tee shirt lol

We were a bit disappointed as well however May is a quite month there. 2x2 club was ok but would have been a lot better if they enforced the dress code and didn't let in the pervy single old men who run around all night trying to latch onto anything going

There are only two or three small problems with Cap D'Agde

1) Its full of rude French people

2) The Police don’t like activities on or near the beach during the day

3) Unlike Gran Canaries it’s not open for fun in the winter

Undoubtedly Cap D'Agde has the edge in the summer when it’s far too hot for fun in GC

We have one hell of a time on Maspalomas beach whilest we enjoy our winter sun!!

Well, so far we've only been (once) to GranCan, and booked again into La Mirage in July. However, we'd love to go to Cap d'Agde and have made enquiries. One day... one day! Oh and Hedo, says Mrs66.

There are two less enjoyable aspects to GranCan for us:-

1. Germans conforming to their worst stereotypes. I even speak some Deutsch and they won't even acknowledge your existence! Unless they're swinging in the same jacuzzi, naturlich

2. Playa del Ingles is effectively Benidorm writ small.

But, for a quick deal, with one or two pockets of civilisation GC is perfect.

1) It is because of the French people that Cap d'Agde is as it is. Try walking around Gran canaria at night dressed as you would in Cap d'agde and see what happens. I bet very few "rude" French people whinge on internet forums about "rude" Brits - no - they just tell it to your face - we are more two faced

2) Having lived and worked in Gran Canaria I can tell you from personal experience that there used to be regular purges on the activities of gay men in the Dunes of Maspalomas. Public sex is illegal in any country.

3) Cap d'Agde is located on the French Med and so like most of mainland Europe it is seasonal.

No one is arguing that Gran Canaria offers a great opportunity, particularly in Winter, for a good holiday in a sexy environment and for a good price. I love Gran Canaria, I lived their for years. But the OP asked if it was the Swingers Capital - and absolutely it is not, it is a great place to go though lacking in the "feel" of a town full of sexy Libertines.

Just be careful on that beach, as you would in CDA - I picked up four Clients of mine from the Police station in Las Palmas in the mid 80's over a two year period. All had been arrested and charged with public indecency and had spent anything from one to three nights in jail.

we got followed by some strange looking chaps in the dunes, the locals call them sand wankers lol they just seem to pop up like meercats in the sand even when the wind got up and we could hardly see the buggers were still there !!! we were with a very sexy couple and thought a nice picnic in the dunes and maybe a kiss n a cudle no way was glad to get back to the room
