Amsterdam - Showboat

Hello from Texas! Great and informative forums on this site. My hotwife and I will be in Amsterdam at the end of August from Tues.-Sun. We are considering Showboat on Saturday night, but want to make sure it's worth it given it will be about a 30min $50 taxi each way. We are by no means perfect, but we are looking for quality over quantity. She likes fit straight men, and couples. I like to watch. Also, does anyone know if we will be able to grab a taxi back to Amsterdam at 3 or 4 in the morning. Thank you in advance for any insight!

You'll probably find it a worthwhile trip. We went a couple of years ago and it was a great experience. There's little in terms of private rooms but it's a large club with plenty of couples and a few single guys. You need to book in on the day so they can manage single guy numbers with ratio to couples. Club offer taxi service back to town that is usually cheaper than calling one. We were offered a taxi share back as there was another heading back to Amsterdam and it was half price at 25 euros. Entry fee is minimum spend at bar so not too expensive. Hope you have fun!

We've been a few times but not for a few years. Their taxi driver used to pick you up in Dam if you booked him. No problems getting back at night, if their driver is already busy they get another one for you.

They always had a very good hot and cold buffet during the night and bar prices weren't too bad. Lovely premises and always busy when we've been.

If you're looking for single guys there's the Paradise which is much closer to the centre than the Showboat.

I plan to go as a single in the next couple of weeks.

I went to Paradise and it was nearly empty on a friday. However the male to female ratio was 60/40 which is higher than clubs I visited in the UK.

That seems a bit too far away. We have looked at fata, but that's couples only. While we could certainly have fun there, we don't do full swap, and find three a nice number.

As lived here a while have been to both showboat and paradise

Showboat does have more couples i have found normally but usually sufficient men to join in

Went to Showboat and it was brilliant. In the day it was full of people. Couples and singles. Dutch and English. In the evening it was quiet. But I did get some action in the evening with a dutch couple.
