A real fast tour of Venice....

Any couples there at the same time?

Got to be an unlikely destination for any like minded couples...

Venice is one of our fav places to visit. Once you have done a whirlwind tour of the must see sights pick an alleyway leading off St Marks Square and just start walking into the back streets. The hoards of tourists soon thin out and you are left to enjoy the beauty undisturbed. There are beautiful little bars and cafe, nestled around grand courtyards with Churches that look untouched for hundreds of years. You may get lost but you will eventually find your way out onto the banks of the lagoon where there are Vaparetto stops dotted along to get you back along the spectacular Grand Canal for a few euros.

We will be there in July for a fortnight for the Redentore Festival.

Don't think there is much of a swinging scene but we are ever hopeful.

It is our first visit (since childhood) and a bit of a quick tour really.

Will have a good look around, looks a bit like a maze with water added to make it more interesting.

Didn`t really expect anyone on Fab to be there but you never know...

Best advice I can give is not to try and fit too much in to your whistle stop tour. You will be completely knackered dodging the mass crowds. Just go off the beaten track a short way and sit at on of the bars for a short while and take in the beauty of the place.

Don't bother with a Gondola trip as it is like the M25 rush Hour on steroids unless you do it early morning or late evening.

Do buy a day pass for the Vaparetto Water Bus. It is a brilliant way to see Venice!!

We are there for a fortnight lol. Thankfully our hotel is like an Oasis Of Calm on it's own private island away from the craziness.

Probably our favourite place in Europe. For swinging February carnival - Casanova's tradition of wild orgies' still continues...

We`re practically on a vaporetto stop and intend to use it.

Although near the bus and train station the hotel looks off any main drag.

As it`s a short trip we will see what we see and have no real set agenda.

It`s not our usual type of trip so we will see and maybe try some more city breaks such as Prague later in the year.

You can buy Vaparetto day tickets from right outside the Main Trian Station next to the Vaparetto stop.

Don't forget to validate your tickets in the yellow boxes whenever you board.

Have a great time

Think I have researched it all read about validating tickets.

Can you not buy the tickets from a vaporetto station?

We are actually closer to the bus terminus...

Yes I'm sure you can buy tickets from there too although I've never been so can't tell you exactly where.

Thanks for the advice.

We`re really looking forward to this trip after we get back from Fuerteventura.

We don`t really go for city breaks so this will be a tester for us.

Should be a really lovely city to start with.

Never get any joy on the Spanish swinger sites.

Can`t see any Italian sites being any better as they all seem to be run by the same people.

Just want your money.....

No actually there are many free sites, some with verified couples...

I never had any luck with italian couples online (with single females yes)...mostly because I think they take themselves too seriously and in some cases they are just horny toads...lol...I had more luck with english couples, because they are more relaxed and they enjoy having fun also outside the bedroom, no pressure
