We were there last year, and back in 3 weeks. They accept Turkish Lura, but almost everywhere will accept Euros and Pound sterling. It is very cheap to eat out , enjoy

Bedworth

Take sterling with you. Most places accept it and the exchange rate over there is better than here if you want to get lira

Change it in Turkey... Take enough with you for 2-3 days.

Mind you they take anything.

The preloaded cards are good as no.link to your bank account...

TL, and if you get it from a cash machine don't get a multiple of 50 otherwise you'll be stuck with large bills. If that happens get them changed at the hotel reception.

Have fun!

The rate of exchange is brilliant at the moment with 4.10 TL to the pound. Anything is accepted in Turkey but I would recommend exchanging your money at currency exchange bureaus as you are likely to get a better exchange rate than at hotels and restaurants.

Ensure that you don't get too many 200 TLs as many establishments will struggle to give you change, ie - market, vendors and small shops.
