Hi folks,

We'll be in the Cap for two weeks from 11th July and are looking for a location where we can avail of wi fi - preferably free!

Anyone know of a nice bar/coffee shop in the centre where this is feasible?

Many thanks and hope to see you out there!

The campsite has wifi, but you have to pay for it.

Think Baskins might do wifi if you eat there, but not 100% sure.

Café le Baskin, on the upper level at beach end of the Port Nature building is a good spot for this. They offer good wifi and I've often had a cup of coffee and an on-line session there, in most pleasant surroundings.

I can't quite remember if it came free with a purchase but, either way, it wasn't expensive (or I'd have remembered!).

There's also some commercial wifi available on the whole site, for which one can purchase an access card in the newsagents, however coverage is patchy and would depend on the location of your accommodation.

I've also availed of the wifi available through naturist.de: http://www.wifi-france.de/rts-wifi-en.php, but again coverage may not be ideal for you.

All Wi-Fi is chargeable on the quarter. Naturist . De have hotspots which you can buy on line from their website. Baskins charge by the hour or by the day for Wi-Fi - not much difference from memory. There is free Wi-Fi at the tourist centre, most bars & restaurants off the quarter.

We found it cheaper to use the 3G on the phone. With a bundle from phone provider

Good spot - there'll be a gang out there from now on!

Second thought, per the other thread, perhaps this should be our Fab meeting spot and we can thus, with certainty, electronically identify each other???

. I normally just buy access for a week. It is about twenty pounds and saves the hassle of having to find places with free Wi Fi .

We would recommend le French mobile dot com. You buy a sim and its sent to your home in UK. Have to complete a form in English and scan it back with I D. Benefit is cheaper calls to UK and free txt to other users. Just have to leave 1€ credit so you don't lose your number - common in France.

Apart from our inclusive UK bundle we use a data only sim from SFR 35€ for 4gig and lasts 30 days. Works well too.
