Oz inn can be snotty - particularly in July and August. If you are really hot and look like you have money, they will let you in. Be prepared to be allowed in one day and turned away the next.

Yes you can go as a couple to Babylones and Eden pool parties and they are the business, but only operate high season.

Just a word of warning . It is generally a safe resort but do not assume that everyone is there for fun. I had a bag stolen on the beach last year and have since heard about hand bags being stolen in both a pub and a night club. If on the beach buy an armband to keep all your key belongings such as keys and money on you . The shops in the resort also sell plastic containers which hand around your neck.

Sun Beach will open when Monsieur Oltra allocates his JCB to shift everything back to the beach from storage. This should be in May, but we will keep an eye open from March 15th

Ryanair flights from bristol are very reasonable although flights are not on saturday. Most agency's

In high season will only book sat to sat.out of season they are much more flexable.

We cought the bus. From beziers airport to agde then a conecting bus that drops you at the gates of the resort.

Most people by tbat i mean women lol wear very revealing dresses around the bars in the evening.

There are lots of clubs some with separate areas for couples with the option of moving to the mixed areas of the clubs if they want males to join them.overall the clubs were very modern and clean.some have free soft drink included in the entry fee.

Overall it a great place to go it is a naturist resort but we were a bit dissapointed by how many clothed people were walking around.swingers have obviously taken over lol

Ryanair fly to Beziers from Bristol, Luton, Manchester and Edinburgh. Other flight options are available to Montpellier from UK including Gatwick.

Whilst the main accommodation providers do try to fix their accommodation booking from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, if you reserve early i.e. now for summer they are more flexible otherwise reserve a night in Hotel Eve or off resort.

As an alternative to catching buses, etc message Cpl- capdagde on here for information on airport transfer or other requirements. This is a door to door service even if your flight is delayed and cost effective.

Nowadays very few nudists are seen about at night, most people dress, with ladies sexy as they dare and men smart casual. Ladies not permitted entry into clubs in trousers and men no shorts or trainers.

Most of the main clubs are couples only or have segregated mixed areas where single men are permitted. The entry cost to a club usually includes the first drink both alcohol or non-alcoholic.

Since the establishment of two couples complexes, takeover holidays by another website, pool parties at Eden and Babylon in peak season and foam parties at Glamour in the afternoon the resort has become even more swinger orientated than a few years back.

Crime level is low just use your common sense and do not leave valuables unattended or accommodation insecure. Whilst there is now less of a police presence than previously, they do still patrol as do resort security. If you leave valuables unattended on the beach your asking for trouble and if you leave patio doors and shutters open at night thieves and prowling single men will see this as an open invitation.

Did you email AGN at agn@genevievenaturisme.com or telephone them on 0033 4 67 26 12 62 with mornings being best? If not there is a booking form in English on their website.

Simple rule we use, if you send an email in France don't expect a reply, but if you want to be certain of contact always follow up with a call. Between 12 - 2 is lunchtime, they may answer they may not. Remember we are 1 hour ahead, so early morning is a good idea to call. Good luck.

if anyone got any recommendation on a campsite ie a site that wouldn't frown upon the wife (nipples pierced ) and any tips for clubs , beaches etc would be much apprieciated

Soon after the New Year hundreds of european and international couples (plus a few Brit couples in the know) will start booking their summer holidays in Cap d'Agde.

We don't suggest Cap d'Agde would work for everyone, it's not cheap, it mostly suits couples as many bars and clubs restrict single males although there are mixed sauna clubs or the beach.

Each year numerous couples ask on Fab for information when a simple Google search 'guide to swingers Cap d'Agde' will identify websites containing pages of information on the village/resort. The various types of accommodation do get fully booked in peak season so any one contemplating a holiday here should really book early as there are often few late deals.

Additionally, feverparties website has a comprehensive guide to Cap d'Agde on their website.

Driving wise, the cheapest route on the motorway is the east side. Depending where your crossing but head for Orleans, Clermont Ferrand - after that its free except Millau bridge, spectacular site 7.50€ for a car.

lots of what you said is very good advice. Though with flights so cheap and budget accomodation cheaper tha a caravan in britains so called resorts we found it very reasonable.

I think it's fair enough to say their is a taxi service provided by people on here 1. we should support our own 2 the wealth of information and welcome they can give to newbies is superb ( if i was new it would be a good way to arrive - and you've already met someone 3 when you get to Beziers sometimes you just want to get 'there' asap.

However there are alternatives and it would be unfair to confuse people so they cant make a choice.

There is a shuttle bus that goes to Agde . It can work out cheaper but does take time - which can be precious On the other hand you might get overcharged by taxis at Agde station and you are in no better situation

We usually just hire a car at the airport as we've found it's not much more than a taxi each way plus we get a few days out L'extasia etc

Just out of interest is there a fixed fare that the cap couple carge?

Ok it depends if you want to go via Paris or not. Quick route, Calais - Paris - Orleans - Clermont - Agde. Or Calais - Rouen - Orleans - Clermont - Agde. Caravaners or motor homes can park up free on Aires on French motorways, but risky for robbery in remote ones, better staying on the motorway services again free.

A plumbed in mobile home is 3456 Euro this year. You have to buy the caravan/mobile home on top of that

If you have your own caravan (or motorised caravan) that fits the criteria as new or nearly new, and you have been the required number of times, then you do not need to buy another caravan. If you want to turn up with your own mobile/static home, forget it.

By the way, it would be nice if the words please and thank you were used on this thread. The people who live here do try and help, but those who demand information will be assisted less than those demonstrating common courtesy. Enough said!

I travel to the Cap about five times a year and have used both the airport transfer service ( pre booked transfer service ) , buses , and a bus plus taxi from Agde Station .

The airport transfer service is great and gets you to the gate within about twenty minutes of landing at the airport. If you have done some advance planning and purchased your gate entry passes in advance you will also be dropped at your accommodation . In peak season at peak times you could queue for up to an hour at the entry gate in order to obtain your pass.

If you use the bus service a few points to remember . Unlike the UK , there is no tracker on the bus , so you are unable to tell how far away it is when waiting at the airport . The service number to Agde station is 210 . On the last occasion that I used this service it failed to arrive . If arriving at Agde station in the off peak season after 7 pm , you would have to take a taxi ( the fare is times 1.5 after 7 pm - total cost 28 Euro ) . As an airport transfer is approximately 30 Euro , you may as well book an airport transfer as the cost of the trip will be the same . In the peak season , buses are roughly once an hour from Agde station. On certain days traffic can be very heavy and on these occasions the buses can be up to an hour late . I have also watched the buses drive past certain bus stops as they were full up and unable to take any extra passengers . Overall the bus service is good , but consider the limitations referred to above .If you do have a wait at Agde station there is café / hotel directly opposite

We took a late night ferry and drive through the night, slept on the boat and then had an hour or so at the halfway point. Paris is so much easier in the early hours and you get the sunrise on the way

I have been looking at alternative ways of getting to Agde and am seriously considering the train! OK for a single person I`ll admit and not because I haven`t flown and don`t fancy it bit I really like train travel anyway! The obvious start is Eurostar from London to Paris. If you take any daytime services from Paris you will arrive at Agde late at night so this is somewhat unsuitable. The better bet appears to be the night train from Paris Austerlitz to Narbone, have breakfast there then local train to Agde. You can travel really cheaply by staying in a seat but there are sleeper cabins for extra cost, comfort and security.

If anyone needs more details I really recommend the website "man at seat 61", not only for this but any train journeys at all!

. Maybe book a travelodge a long time in advance at a reasonable rate . Cap d Agde is a great place and you can have fantastc time , but it not a value for money destination. The fun comes at a price

About £30 pounds if you book in advance . Last time an airport cab from the rank cost me £34 pounds . Cabs from a rank are 1.5 times the normal fare after 7 pm

There is a couple on here who live there and offer a transfer service. If you go the main visitors list (Cap d'Agde 2015) and go the most current list, you will see their username noted at the top of the list.

The couple swingatcapdeadge sorted are holiday last year could not do enough for us we rented a caravan off them it had everything you needed and more great pich picked us up from airport can not thank them enough if you want reliability use these guys tony max fantastic holiday

. Yes . The sauna is small but it is open from 1 pm onwards . You will not see lots of people going in or out as it is not a large club . The owner will also give youa voucher for reduced entry to Quai des Anges

one thing we found was to have fairley hard sole sandals the walk to the swingers beach had a very spikey hard seed or something that pierced our shoes and by fook did they hurt.better to walk the shoreline than the path next to the campsite.

also make sure you have some mosquito spray them fuckkers can bite!

. Even with Sandals I managed to get a little thorn stuck in my foot. It was really painfull and I had to go to Doctors when I got back to UK. . They even x rayed sole of my foot. I felt so bad on the flight home that I just slept . Had a really bad fever which lasted for two days unto I started taking the anti biotics .

I`ve looked into this. It`s NOT a direct service, you still have to change trains in Paris, but is simply an all inclusive price for the journey which I believe was already available through alternative companies.

Don't know about having one guide, but just about all you want to know is in this thread.

A lot of fun can be had exploring new venues for yourself, but most info can be got by chatting to people in the bars during your first few nights.

Just be aware that not everyone at Cap is a swinger, but if you ask in a tactful way, you'll soon find out...!!

Update on Le Missisipi Terrace. Just been past, and work has now started on the new terrace. The old stone wall above the ramp in between them and Wokkers has been knocked down, and a new wooden side put on. Decking is starting to be layed. We have put a picture featuring the new building works on our profile, taken from the terrace above JW'S Terrace.

Sun Beach does indeed open on 1st May, and Le Parelia Beach Club on the 8th. Le Croq ( the small bar in the middle of the campsite) is open from 11th April. No idea why not open for Easter.

According to David,the owner, Le Missisipi will open this Saturday. Very much doubt that the terrace will be finished by then as none of the preformed flooring has been fitted as of 3PM, but you never know. No sight as yet of J_nny Wokkers being opened as the side door is still boarded up, and they normally take about a week to ensure everything is fully cleaned.

We had a wander around the village yesterday, before spending a few hours on the beach.

It's starting to wake up, although we guess a few more businesses were closed again after the Easter weekend.

Mississippi terrace looking nice and shiny although a bit quiet at the end of lunch time. As mentioned earlier, Wokkers still boarded up.

A lot of work has been done between Oltra's and the beach. They started it last year, but now the ground has been nicely levelled and part of it has Tarmac. It seems as if they are adding a further couple of rows for touring vans. Anyone know if that's the case?

On another note, we walked past La Palme Ré yesterday and realised that we have never tried it out. Any thoughts?

The new Tarmac road between Gate 1 and 3 appears to be there to assist the emergency services giving them a quicker route to Sun Beach without going through the allees on the site. It may also help deliveries up there as well. Judging by the joint Gendarme and Police National dress rehearsal, including Horses, that went on last Thursday, they all enjoyed having a new route up to the Poste De Secours. What they were all doing, apart from a show of force, we could not work out. They only missed out the CRS and Water Cannon from the fun.

If Oltra does let caravans onto the recently flattened ground, or if he proposes to put another version of the Pearl Buildings on there, he will have to move the security fence. No sign of that happening as yet!

Has anyone ever stayed in the chalets or mobile homes at oltra campsite? Looking for advice mainly -

a) are they nice? (look nice from pics etc)

b) is it a long walk into main centre eg glamour, restaurants etc?

c) is the campsite full of families/kids, is it 'swinger friendly' - eg if we wander back with people from a club will we get in? or do they lock the gates / not let non-residents in etc??

Both the chalets and mobile homes are good.

It's not a long walk to anywhere.

Campsite does have lots of families and it is quiet late at night, but it's much more relaxing than being in an apartment we have found. Unless people have a campsite wristband, they will not get onto the campsite.

Well got our apmt booked now hopefully! Decided to stick with what we've done before! Got a few questions about how the club pricing works... (Apologies for the volume of questions! Hopefully this info will be useful to others as well. And thanks in advance anyone who can help explain the system!)

- Do the clubs (glamour & tantra for example) still offer the deal where you buy a bottle of spirits and get unlimited mixers with it.

- And am I right that you basically get 2 couples entrance with that - can you use that as 1 couple but come another night?

- do they still keep the bottle for you with your name on like they used to?

- we used to keep a bottle at glamour and one at tantra and it would last us the week. But last time we went they were being funny about that and wouldn't keep the bottle for us after 2 or 3 nights. Anyone else had that? Are you only meant to be allowed to have a bottle over 2 nights or something?

I think you can rent fridges at reception but not 100% but as the conversation was in German I think that's what was said. Will try and find out for you.

Emailed them earlier, yes they arrive same day as you book them. It's pretty common in france to rent them at camp sites

Not quite correct. If you are on the campsite you can sign in two people for up to four hours. They are given visitor wristbands. However, if they overstay, you would be responsible for paying an overnight fee for them staying. This works well during the day and evening. No idea what happens if you rock up at 3 in the morning though!

If you are planning to stay in the Naturist Quarter, you won't need a car. Look at the other list of who is going and one of the Fab members lives there and can do airport transfers.

We only rent a car if we go out of season.

. If you did hire a car , the cost is from about £250 per week upwards in the peak season. As others have said you will not need a car if staying in the quarter. You can use the transfer service as provided by a member on this site . For days out in the week, you can use the bus service which stops just outside the gate . In the peak season, they run every hour to Agde . Buses are one service that is cheap in France . One euro takes you to Agde . If you do hire a car, you may also have difficulty parking it unless your accommodation has parking spaces . Traffic is very heavy in the peak season, especially on Saturdays .

Hi, if you intend to stay in the Quartier Naturiste for the duration of your trip then you certainly don't need a car.

The local 'CapBus' and 'Hérault Transport' bus services are good and inexpensive if you want to make a local trip or two for a bit of variety. Check out their websites.

If you're not travelling with too much luggage, the bus will also get you to the village from Béziers airport, with a change, for €2.50 all told.

This is for those who are intending to hire a car ANYWHERE later on this year. The DVLA are abolishing the paper part of the current licence and it may well have implications for those attempting to hire a car. You should check out the DVLA`s website before you go abroad to make sure you understand the new rules.

Those who only have a paper licence are not affected.

The code is is only valid for 72 hours from issue, so if you're not hiring a car as soon as you arrive, you will have to use your mobile or get on t'internet....

I was there last week and noticed a notice stating that it was an offence to trespass in the dunes . I am unsure if the notice was always there and I failed to notice it before or whether it was new . There was no mention of fines - the notice advised that it was a conservation area .

As far as I know, there are some prepared fast food/snack bar type operators at the entrance to the campsite.

It's normal to see denizens of the campsite cycle over to the main village for their supplies - certainly for the fresh stuff, including the bread etc.

I don't know if there are any other options, bar outside shops, of course.

The campsite has pizza shop,veg and fruit store, chip shop with mussles alsodo sea food platters.

All are verygood and justinside camp gates.

We are there july 13th and cant wait

Beware the Gendamerie Speed Checks around Le Cap. A few years ago they were caught out hiding a Gendarme with a speed gun inside an allegedly broken down horse box. On Wednesday we found another trick,,that of the Motorbike Gendarme crouching down behind the directional arrow on the Bezier Cap d'Agde Airport roundabout while aiming his speed gun over the top. His mate was dealing with the queue of not overly impressed customers! Every little helps with the French Debt problem!

On the ground floor in the Port Ambonne building, on the main walkway by the bar with the pool.

There are two linked saunas - one for couples only - but there is a doorway to the mixed one from the couples' side, so that couples can come in if they want the attention of more men (for the most part).

Do a search for Sauna 2+2 and Histoire d'O to see more.

For couples think it was E20 with 1 drink each.

It was mixed from opening time, 1pm if I remember right. but from 9pm (could have been 10pm) it was couples only. Can't remember price for single males, but think it was cheaper than other sauna.

It is not as big as the other sauna, but still a fair size, white leather funishings. Very pleasant, helpful owner and staff.

. You can buy a day pass for Histoire of O for 75 Euro. From memory it is 55 Euro for a couple for a day pass. The new Sauna may be cheaper but do you get the same level of choice ?

. Saw it two weeks ago , but it was not open and the prices were not displayed . The one in Port Ambonne was extremely quiet two weeks ago. Some nights it even closed early . It was very different to the summer months when you could have three ladies per evening if you adopted the right attitude and had the equipment and performance to match.
