More importantly, what's to keep you at 'home'?

You can always do a year then go back after earning the probably higher pay and various experiences?

"It's full of Arabs"

Good enough reason for me not wanting to go back in a hurry

Forget Dubai, Abu Dhabi is the real party town, much more lenient and western friendly. People I know that work there love it

Just go for it. My sister, her husband and young child moved over there about 4 months ago and absolutely love it. She said its the best thing she has ever done. The heat does take some getting used to but then again every where is air conditioned

It's better than most Arab states, mainly because they will not show the Flintstones on TV.

But Abu Dhabi doo.

Yeah, I know.

Hat and coat.

And you know why they won't show the Flintstones?.

It's because they don't have TV because of the Tellyban.

Allright alright.

I'm going.

If there's nothing to keep you in the UK, jump on that plane........there's always the option of returning.

The opportunities over there are endless. And enough of those silly comments. It's just daft.

Dont know what it is like now. Things change... Its over 25 years since I worked there...

But when I was there it was great, as a Brit I needed to registrar as an Alcoholic to get a drinks licence, but that was automatic to all Brits. The food and accommodation was excellent and the fishing was out of this world! Of course India was only a hop over the gulf away if more colourful entertainment was required...
