"We'll be there 26th April to 4th May. It had better be good - slightly worried by the latest review on tripadvisor though!
Can't wait to get there and start playing!"
I just read the report you are referring to on Tripadvisor.
We have been 3 times and go again April 21st to 26th and again 5th of January 2015.
From the report on tripadvisor we must be easily pleased.
I dont think so. We love it there. We are not yet swingers (working on it though) but plenty goes on.
Just to answer a few points made on the report.
The rooms are good, the beds are big with fantastic comfort.
It is an older hotel so has TLC on a regular basis (no noisy work has ever been carried out when we have been there, this is normally carried out during late November/Early December when they close for a week or 2).
Ok the TV,s are not all flat screen but they work if you choose to watch TV (we dont).
Balcony furniture is normal balcony furniture (who wants to sit on the balcony all day when the sun beds by the pool are so comfortable).
The swimming pool is heated but Spanish law restricts the maximum temperature (I think it is 25deg), so when you sit in the sun your outer body temperature is far in excess of the pool temperature so it will feel cold. The report is Correct no sex is allowed in the pool.
So now to the Jacuzzi, The Jacuzzi is not governed by Spanish law so is very hot in the afternoon (even straight out of the sun it is hotter than I would get into a bath, fantastic). It does cool down in the evening but is still around 18 to 20deg in the early hours (it closes at around 2.30 am). However it does seam cold when you get out in the early hours as the outside temperature drops at night. When you get out the best option is a quick dash to your room or someone else's. LOL.
SEX IS allowed in the Jacuzzi and regularly happens. As it also does in the bar, play room, outside 4 poster beds and on the sun beds.
The fridge in the room has what is advertised in it, but it is no problem to go to the bar and take a drink or 3 back to your room. The bar is available 24 hours. If no one is behind the bar reception will sort you out with a drink. No problem.
The food is good but because there is so much it is easy to overdo it and loose your appetite. We sometimes miss a meal or 2 as we are so full from the one before. Very good choice, especially breakfast (I suppose if we have a complaint about breakfast it is only because the egg was not cooked perfectly on an odd occasion, but no problem, just ask and another one is cooked for you to your liking).
The disco.
Yes I suppose I must agree with the report for 1 thing, the disco seams to cater for younger people's choice in music but the average age seams to be people in there 40,s and 50,s, so I cant defend that one. The first time we went they were playing 70, 80,s and 90s, music.
We always have a great time and meet some very nice people.
Staff are fantastic including the entertainment expert James.
I hope this helps you to look forward to your holiday. If not you will find us in the Irish bar (think its called Craic n keol) just to the left of the Biosphera shopping center on the 27th April (around 11pm). Unfortunately we leave Spice on the 26th when you arrive but we stay in Lanzarote until the 5th May. We cant always afford to stay at Spice for the whole of our holiday but find the mix of Spice and Puerto del Carmen the best.
15 sleeps to go until we fly out there.
We are not connected to Spice in any way (but if someone from Spice reads this we dont mind a free extended stay LOL).
If you want to know any more please feel free to ask us any questions. We could even tell you about the party games but that would have to be by PM. Dont want everyone to know what we get up to.
Take care, maybe we will meet you there one day.
Mark and Julie
