Hi

We're hoping to hit cap in July prior to the mad season, and looking for any recommendations for a cheap apartment only somewhere in the village?

Low budget fine as we'll be cycling there so hope to be slim by the time we hit the beach!

Cheap in July doesn't really apply in July on the quarter - stay just outside and u might be lucky! Renters are AGN, CAP NAT, PENG, RESID, hope this helps? If ur prepared to stay off the quarter message us.

The Port Nature Collines are pretty basic if all you're after is a place to sleep and make breakfast.

As has been said, nowhere is cheap cheap come July.

To give you an idea, we are planning our visit for the first two weeks in July

at the moment, and quotes for an apartment inside the village are ranging from 1200€ to 1800€.

Thanks.

CAP NAT Agency seem to have a 2 person studio for €400/week (+25+50) which would be fine. Its "cheap" till Sat 12th, so 5-12 July or the previous week is fine for us. Nothing special, but fine for us.

Don't want to be outside the village as its more fun in!

As we'll be cycling/camping - we *may* camp there - just need a secure locker or something for phones/wallets etc that we won't take to the beach.

Thanks!

Roll on foam party again

Wow! That's the deal of the decade for July! Assume you seen pics etc? One piece of advice - check the cleanliness - strip the bed, check the bathroom. We were only in a place 5 minutes and went back to take the manager to see it. She only relented when we asked her to lie on the bed! Got a much better place for same money. But if it's all ok then u have a bargain!

Thanks - that is the website list price. Photos look basic but okay. But it is just a photo (probably from a long time ago!)

Be very careful. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. On our first trip there a few years ago we chose an apartment purely on price, but we learned a good lesson.

Now we look (as much as we can) at the place itself and pay the price for what we want.

Believe us, there are some real shit holes there, and some very nice places, but it can be a bit of a minefield sorting them out.

Can only reiterate that there are some very small apartments in Cap, many have not been decorated since they were built in the 70s. Some real dumps for big money - beware. Check very carefully before booking.

We are booked from 28th June for 2 weeks, costing just under 2000 euros, which is what we expect to pay for the type of apartment we like, and of course it is July!!!!!!

Yeah - lots of warnings! No bargain offers either.

As we'll be campinng for weeks on our way down we'll probably just hit the campsite and, if needed, look at what apartments are available when we're there and just check them out.

Thanks for the warnings!

Bargain and Cap d'Agde very rarely appear in the same sentence. However if you are prepared to leave it late, Naturist.de do have some last minute deals but they do tend to be on some of the more scruffy apartments that are left over.

Check their site and click on the last minute link from about 6 weeks before you want to go, then keep checking back.

We have been on the campsite quite a few times and have always had good fun on the campsite and in the complex

We hope to be there again around end of june beggining of july

At the risk of being boring, in defence of owners, a BASIC apartment costs around 100-120,000€ then there is around 10-15,000€ renovation costs plus service charges of around 2,000€ - no wonder it's not cheap! So please note there is always 2 side's to a story. Amen.

Not boring at all. What you say is very true.

We thought about buying a place there a couple of years ago, but what we were shown for over 120,000€ put us right off.

On top of that, it is a very short season at Cap so you don't have much time to get a return on the investment.

Yes Cap d'Agde is expensive, but we know why, and are more than happy to pay the price for the greatest swinger resort in the world.

We have the same idea. If you want value for money for your accomodation then Cap is terrible, but you don't get naked people in the bar at a Holiday Inn (not that they are great value either!). And yet to find a hotel with a naked foam party lol. Only 171 days to go!!!!!

Yes it's 170 now. But we are not counting
