Been there 3 times now, all for between one month and up to 3 months.

If you want manic and hectic, go to Delhi and Mumbai and get a tuk tuk through the city…lots of other interesting sights to see besides all of the hustle and bustle.

If you want chilled and laid back, head south to Goa and if you have the time, go from northern Goa to southern Goa, the north is more commercial and built up to cater for tourists, the south is more chilled and laid back with less commercialism.

Agonda is a nice and relaxed place to recover from the madness of Delhi or Mumbai.

I’d recommend travelling train for the experience, long-arse journeys but worth it to immerse yourself into the culture.

All depends what you want out of it, India caters for all.

For work or pleasure..??

Head to the Paharganj, it’s slightly touristy with some tacky shops but a great experience.

Head down for around 500mtrs or so and look to your left~hand side, there are some rooftop restaurants there and the views from the top, as you look down and all around, are great. The food in the restaurants are top notch too.

Heck of a commute from Ponty to throw some arrows..lol.

Agra to see the Taj is definitely worth the day trip, that’s assuming you have the time…it’s a full 10~12hrs there and back by taxi.
