Visiting Japan in April - May 2025. Not easy finding information online, but curious to see if anyone knows any Clubs, etc that would be welcoming to Foreigners, or any members who live in Japan?

Hi! We live in Japan. To be honest the swinging scene is pretty quiet in Japan especially for foreigners.

Clubs in Japan are called Happening Bars or Couple Kissas. We’ve not been to one but we have heard they are not that good or comparable to clubs in the UK.

There is one in Tokyo that is welcoming ti foreigners. It is Voluptuous in Shinjuku.

In Akihabara there loads of fun and interesting places to go. I went to a girls hentai bar, it was a bit silly but gave me a chuckle.

Be careful not to get ripped off. The biggest danger is getting scammed. Akihabara maid cafe touts are usually okay but the Shinjuku touts are not.

Enjoy your trip, it is going the best awesome.

Get the latest copy of Lonely Planet for japan. We always used another contact site when we lived there. The largest site in the world. For us we found the swinging scene very active. The adult cinemas great fun, but take a towel with you to clean up the spunk.

Thank you so much. We're in Northern Ireland, so unfortunately there are no Swinging clubs here at all, so even a slightly quieter scene would be interesting, I've come across the Happening Bars)Couple Kissas badges, but finding information was tricky, and lots of the ones that had recommendations seen to have since closed, so we will definitely look into Voluptuous.

We have lots of vanilla things planned, so we will have a great time, we maybe just pepper a little swinging fun in if the opportunity is there, thanks so much for your help. If you would like to get a drink while we there then feel free to message us

I wish we could, we don’t live anywhere near the big cities though. We are off up in Hokkaido.

You're going to be lucky to find some decent food, never mind clubs lol

Fantastic country though, and the Japanese are a spectacular race

Tokyo has the most Michelin star restaurants of any city.

Yeah, I have no idea what you're talking about either. L? Everything I've seen or heard tells me that even average food in Tokyo is like top quality food here.

Hi

I have only just arrived in Tokyo so can’t add anything much to the advice above - the language barrier is the biggest factor for sure.
