We’re there Thursday 29th to Tuesday. Probably hitting Fata on Saturday. Any other tips welcome. X

Fata is great, it is a wee bit of a trek though from Amsterdam so you might need to get the train to weesp and then a taxi

Drinks-wise…I’d avoid the tourist-traps on (or around) Dam square and de Walden (red light) and head to Liedseplein or Rembrandtplein, the bars and eats are much better.

Shopping good on Kalverstraat (if you want to lose your money

)…

Give me a shout if youd like to say hello Friday night or Saturday afternoon.

We're here now, having a really good time. Had been really put off Sameplace by the comments on the forum but we went on Tuesday and it was really lovely. Reminiscent of Peaches and Cream in PDI if you've been. We're going back there on Friday night.

Sameplace can be great, I’ve always found it a bit hit-and-miss though.

Unfortunately the curse of the “single-guy” will prevent me from getting in on Friday night lol.

I’ve been lucky in the past, but won’t have the space in my ‘travelling light’ bag to fit in black trousers/shoes/jacket that’d I’d need to stand a chance of entry.

I will be in town though, and always nice to meet new people…most likely be down on Liedseplein early evening for a few cheeky beers if you fancy a chat before SP…X

Black shirt, trousers and shoes for Sameplace…and a pinch of luck to get in as a single guy lol…

There aren’t really any other ‘clubs’ in the town centre…Fata and Showboat are well outside Amsterdam.

If you mean normal ‘clubs’ then party clothes, and don’t be pissed or stoned at the door!

As always…persuading an accommodating lady to get you in as a couple is the only surefire way…do you feel lucky?!

Hey there is a site, not sure if I can name it because fab tends to get mad if you try naming another site. It begins with S is all ill say and may have two other letters that may or may not be DC. You do have to pay for it thought but everyone here seems to use it.
