Quite a few people (including us before we went) have asked about the new La Mirage. Having just spent 9 days there this is what we think of it.
It consists of 32 bungalows, 1 swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, 2 playrooms, and an on site mini market.
The location is almost next door to Maspalomas golf club and while it is a short taxi ride ( around 4 euro’s each way) to the clubs at Cita and La Sandia the walk to the dunes is much shorter than from the hotels and apartments in Playa del Ingles.
The bungalows have a separate bedroom, lounge area, shower room, private terrace with sun loungers, and open kitchen. The furniture and equipment is a little basic but flat screen TV. coffee machine, toaster, and microwave are included (unlike other places that charge extra for them) they are very clean and the 5 day a week maid service is very good. Oh I should say that the larger than usual beds are not only comfortable by Spanish apartment standards are also very strong (as we proved at our little birthday party

The pool area, gardens, playrooms Etc. are all very well maintained and spotlessly clean and the sun loungers are quite comfortable, not the usual rock hard lumbago inducing white plastic ones that are far too common in Spanish hotels. The large playroom is comfortable and nicely decorated with a large central circular playbed and clean towels and condoms are to hand, and the smaller playroom has a love swing. The swimming pool is heated, and the hot tubs are HOT.
All the staff are very helpful and friendly and we must mention Mandy on reception and our cleaning lady who both went the extra mile (NO not like that!!  )to make our stay more enjoyable.
Like at any other swinger resort the other people there can make or break the holiday, but for our stay we were lucky enough to meet some very nice couples. The majority was either British or Scandinavian but there were also Irish and Germans there as well. There was always a good atmosphere around the pool and bar area, especially at the 4 till 5 pm happy hour, and while it wasn’t 24/7 shagging there was more than enough action on site during our stay.
Bottom line is: We can’t wait to go back.
