What are people's views on staying in Playa del Ingles, rather than Maspalomas?

We're looking at La Mirage, but also considering a straightforward package deal, while having the odd day ticket to La M, and exploring the club scene (we only really went in Venus last time - are there loads of places in P.del.Ing?

Quite a few different places to go and stay guys

We use to love la mirage but havent tried the new one yet

Just a little bit far away from the nightlife for us but really miss it

Thanks for that! We're now thinking about some of the Spanish mini-resorts, like Casa Patricia or Nice & Natural. Maybe go for 3 or 4 weeklong breaks rather than a couple of fortnights... see what's out there!

We went to GC 2 weeks ago and stayed in normal self catering in Playa.We stayed in mirage before and to be honest found it boring,unless you just like drinking and sitting round a pool all day everyday.In playa we could walk to all the centres and the beach was only a short bus ride or walk along the beach ..
