November for us. Can I ask who you're planning on using for your covid test before you travel?

We’re using vivo clinic, it was quite expensive. Not sure if it’s the best but it gives you next day results xx

"How was the testing programme in Barbados, I hear it is very slow and expensive?"

Not at all. We are there now. You need a PCR test 3 days before departure. Then on arrival you get a free PCR test at the airport and given a wristband then have to quarantine in hotel. Each is different, but we stayed in the Hilton on arrival and you could use the pool etc just not the beach or leave the hotel. Our results came back two days later. Some people had theirs back next day. Once the negative test comes back you are free to use the beach and leave the hotel.

Have fun! We are here long term, but not swinging at the moment as Vik has a knee that keeps dislocating and recently broke her wrist!

What happens if you have booked and paid for an Airbnb residence, do you still have to go to hotel and pay the extra cost?

It depends on the AirBnB. Some are registered as quarantine venues, some (most) are not. If you Google “barbados covid travel protocol” you should find a pdf on the visitbarbados site that details the travel protocol and at the end lists all the hotels and residences that are quarantine-approved. Also bear in mind if you are not fully vaccinated, you will be quarantining for a lot longer.
