"And why is that? "

It must be because of those pesky French air traffic controllers again

It looks like you will have to bring a negative test result with you performed within the last 72hrs to be allowed into Greece, Despite what the UK press says tourist hotels may open mid-July but not yet confirmed. Then when you arrive back into the UK 14 days quarantine irrespective of how long you've been away. A 1 week holiday could involve more than 3 weeks off work!

Greek president just been on tv. They will open up to tourists next month, but UK not on list of accepted countries. They will do testing at the airport for everyone and then randomly when it gets busier. I doubt anyone from UK will get there this summer, they don't want to get reinfected and rightly so.

Hopefully September for us. The first year we visited temp checks at Heraklion for SARS so it will be the same. Let’s hope that small section of idiotic brits remembers to social distance this summer so the R remains and falls Allowing the rest of us to have holidays

It won't be much of a holiday with the restrictions, for me.

May be worth looking at Greece entry requirements on gov.uk site. At the moment, you have to fill in an online form 48 hours before travelling. You will be given a code which you have to show at your destination airport. You may be required to be tested for virus and if positive will be asked to self isolate in government provided accommodation for 14 days. If others test positive on your flight, you may also be asked to self isolate...
