We've got notoriously short memories, so whilst I'd like to say yes, we'll run the bastards out of business as soon as the desperation subsides, I highly doubt it'll happen.

It absolutely should, and the government should be slapping them with high fines as well. To me this profiteering from misery is akin to looting in WWII... And looters were shot on sight.

My wee shop down the road is the only place I can get loo roll, he's selling the price marked £2.50 stuff.... at £2.50. So damn right, I'll be shopping there more often.

Local shops have been where we shoped before all this. They're still the ones supplying us and now we see the supermarket hoards with no idea turning up (how much is a lb as we normally buy a pack). Hope they realise this is better, local to plate and tastier. But feel it's a short term attitude

We always buy local and support independent businesses so nothing will change for us.

If your local shop is charging more than the RRP then you can complaint to the Trading Standards. They are liable to be prosecuted.

They had to, to comply with their quantity limits, you cant run a 3 for 2 offer if you are limiting each customer to 2 items.

Our corner shop is great, they rationed stuff that people were hoarding and have reasonable prices also. I shop there most of the time before this happened.
