With all the possibility of outlawing large gatherings has this had an effect on clubs and organised GBs ?

I wouldn't think so, they are talking of large crowds, football match, big concerts etc.

We've made the decision to take a break from clubs for a few weeks, they reckon the pandemic will peak over the next couples of weeks. Stay safe.

From what I’ve read I think they’re talking about events with 500+ people. That’d be a hell of a gangbang!

I imagine the clubs will stay open as long as they’re allowed/people want them to - and rightly so!

I very rarely play in clubs anyway but hugely enjoy the social aspect and, particularly as a single parent, would be miserable if all public socialising was effectively banned. Hoping it won’t come to that though!

Are you taking a break from work, going to the supermarket, using cash machines etc?

I decided to take a break from parties/clubs for a while, due to no one in east Sussex so far has it,and I work in the caring industry,so would like to minimise the risks to those I care for

I told a handful of swinging friends, half understand, the other half made jokes about I can catch it from a supermarket trolley, they are the ones who are continuing to party as normal, fair enough if that's what they want to do

My answer was I don't kiss + suck a supermarket trolley

I just feel being in huge groups of people + off course lots of naughtiness at a party,is putting those I care for at risk

You don't have to kiss someone to catch it. It can be spread by sneezing or contact. That is why the Chinese government is disinfecting and quarantining banknotes.

Washing your hands regularly and frequent hot drinks is recommended.

I understand all that as I have been keeping up with the news + advice given

I'm talking about minimizing the risks,by not going to parties/clubs,its pressing the pause button for a while,I'm still carrying on with normal life, just being more aware eg more hand washing

The hot drinks is only being recommended by fab forumites.

Along with sipping water and avoiding the chippy

wirral

I think the horse has long bolted.

Lots of people will have infected others before they showed symptoms.

I understand the need to protect our vunerable and elderly population

I'm not sure It will work.

Too many people can't afford time off, can't isolate, can't feed themselves for long periods of time.

Should we let it run its course and work around that way?

I don't know

(I have at risk people in my home, before you write me off as callous)

Not at all. If the virus gets in your mouth, hot drinks can potentially kill it or wash it down your throat so that the stomach acid can.

They are probably wrong - the likely timescale is 14-16 weeks if the government's strategy works.
