I think is time to pause and reflect with the current state ofor this pandemic. very un wise meeting strangers for fun. As For me. No more meeting people. If I am very prone to hayfever every year, then I don't stand a chance of this deadly virus.it will be reckless of me if I don't abstained from swinging. What about you?

I agree, we are lucky enough to have our own 'Emergency Bunker', we have enough food to last for 6 months or more. We also have a filtration system for the rain water we will collect, and a solar panel for when the utility companies collapse due to the staff begin unable to work.

So we won't be meeting anybody until the end of September. I've seen 28 days later, and believe 6 months in the bunker should give us enough time to miss the inevitable zombie apocalypse

We are going about our lives as normal, which includes big music concerts, social meets and play meets.

Life goes on. It’s a flu. I can understand vulnerable people being cautious, but most of us will be fine.

If your going to get it there’s nothing you can do, so we’d rather, if we’re going to catch it do so of our own making as opposed to someone sneezing in our direction in the veg section at the supermarket.

If you work with other people do you let them make you a cuppa? Do you completely sterilise the cup and spoon before you use them if you make your own? Do you use gloves when picking up the milk or getting out a tea bag? All those chances to get infected just from a brew... Now think about all the doors you opened today....

The reality is you cannot avoid it.

Some people are saying - if you had the flu - cold thing at the back end of 2019, where you were so ill you struggled to lift your head off the pillow - if you test for Covid-19 - you will test positive.

Apparently.

yet another conspiracy theory!!

but - the company I work for has told us to avoid going to customers and use video conferencing for meetings. stay at home and be safe!

Up on them there hills

It appears single (married) men are very susceptible to it, as well as socially inept males.

Totally agree, don’t meet.

Not that many do, I suspect.

They knew about this virus back in 2018 and a medical paper was published in march 2019. The refugees found dead in the lorry last year could have had the virus.

I reckon it's been in this country at least 6 months, and been covered up.

The feckers will never tell the truth.

I have been advised not to socialise as I have asthma, also live with an elderly dependant. Anyone with existing respitory ailments are at higher risk. I would expect hayfever falls into this category although an allergy your immune system and respitory system would be deficient and put you at risk.

It's a pandemic so I wouldn't take a chance.

No. The medical paper mentioned a bat born corona virus in China. The bat being a mamal would come into contact with domestic pets and then pass onto humans causing a pandemic.

The paper was written in 2018, published in March 2019.

It seems you are a risk taker. My immune system is very weak.Hayfever is an airborne allergens, like seasonal grass or rag pollen or year-round.Remember this deadly virus is an airborne transmission as well. Good luck

You mean this article?

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fmicb.2018.00702/full

Bats are known to carry many diseases and not to be effected. It was predicted but if you go back further than 20 years prediction of a cold virus that would mutate into flu like virus effectively wiping out the human race.

Bats are the common reason human are infected with rabies in the USA.

China eat a great deal of things they shouldn't be eating. It was only time it would happen. Zoonotic viruses are always going to be the biggest risk when eating animal flesh.

It speaks of other types of coronavirus and the fact its crossed species barrier before. Mers was identified in 2012 and sars in 2002. Covid19 is identified sars-cov-2.

There's 4 human coronaviruses and there's 3 that now infect humans (zoonotic human mutation)

There's at least identified 18 types of coronavirus.

There's one from cattle, turkeys, chickens (different to turkeys), pigs(have 4 different types of coronavirus), rabbit

Put you off wild rabbit stew?

Predictions about possible mutations have been going around for years. They use evidence from sars and mers and the fact the strain carried by bats has already crossed the species barrier to humans

It's not a conspiracy it's just no one paid attention to the risks.

"It’s no more deadly that flu"

They have a vaccine for flue, not for corona.

May not be a threat to the healthy but to people with underlying medical conditions can be fatal.

Yeah sure, I'll clear out the space above the toilet and shower so you can sleep on the shelf. Anybody else want to join us? We might have a little extra room if we don't take the budgies and hamster in the bunker with us...
