Making love

Manchester (North)

I get the impression that people associate the term "making love" with "being in love" and being more emotional than "just sex", maybe something you would only do within a relationship.

Thing is, I like slow, sensual, erotic sex, massage, generally spoiling someone and giving pleasure, and someone said something to me the other day that made me wonder how different that is to "making love". Mechanically it's no different to what I've done with past girlfriends and personally I'd have no problem calling it making love even if it was with someone I'd just met and might only meet once. But the words "make love" seem to make some people very nervous, or even the idea of it, I just want to understand that.

Ok, questions:

1) Is swinging and meeting people from here just about hot, horny, wild sex, or is there such a thing as erotic swinging? I'm fine with both, but the sensual erotic side doesn't seem to get mentioned very often.

2) Would you ever use the words "make love" outside a relationship, on a meet, to describe slow sensual sex, or do those words make you think the person is looking for some kind of an emotional relationship?

Interested in your opinions...

making love is a state of mind, to me i could only make love with someone i loved

I also love the slow sensual sex, i love all the kissing and cuddling, touching etc, but i still class that as just sex, its just slow sensual sex

Also i dont feel making love has to be slow and sensual, making love can be hard, rough sex if its with someone you love

I dont think making love a type of sex i think its the mind sex of who your doing it with

For me, making love is for partners I have an emotional connection to. Not a casual friend/playmate.

Slow, sensual erotic sex is just great sex. It's rare to find that with a playmate, but not unknown. I'm more than happy to indulge in sensual play, infact I prefer it. I'm often called greedy for wanting a bit more than a quick fumble/shag!

i havnt heard many men on here call it making love, so it makes a nice change when they do, it all means the same thing to me whatever they call it really though. when you say making love, it doesnt mean you love someone.

I personally would never ever use the term "making love" even with my gorgeous hubby who I am totally and utterly in love with. It just feel like a really dated, cringy way of describing sex.

We do however love all the slow and sensual stuff as well as passionate vigorous sex. Be it when we are just on our own or with others. To us intimacy is something that can be shared! In fact it's a must for any of our potential bed partners to have the ability to get sensual and unrestricted with us.

I'm never intimate with others, not because I can't be But because it bores me. I don't want a guy to come around and slowly touch me. I want it rough and ready, then go...

I get bored so quick with others that if they were with me for more than an hour chances are I'd not bother having anything..

It's mostly about the cum for me anyway lol... I may on occasion get a massage but quick kiss if they are struggling but certainly not going to lay back and be kissed while being fucked. Much prefer it on my knees..

I don't see it as making love to be sensual, just boring unless its with master.

To me love has nothing to do with making love, its about taking time, massage, slow and sensual etc involving several hours as opposed to a quickie or hot horny wild sex. Lets face it, people who are married, I suspect make love when they have time and have a quickie when they don't, surely?

The sensual side is vital for my enjoyment...loads of kissing, touching, eye contact etc... I find just fucking most unsatisfying... would never call it 'making love' tho

I say ... call it what you want

Im an old romantic ... and I like it being called that

But then I have a side of me that likes it being called fucking

All in all its words ... you can still make love to someone you aren't in love with

I like the term making love, it conjures up images of sensuality rather than animalistic. I wouldn't describe myself as making love with any playmates though. I interpret those words as sensual, loving, sex with an emotional bond.

But I do always have erotic, sensual sex as any form of rough sex turns me off

Oh my god, making love is sensual, gorgeous, staring deep into each others eyes, non rushed, feeling each others love. He touches me and my body feels a rush of excitement, I know when he touches me, and caresses me my life is in his hands. I feel him inside me and my life is complete. We look at each other and all we feel is devotion, this is love, his hand caresses my face and I feel so safe and loved, nothing can hurt me anymore, ever again. He would give his life for me and me him.

How can I ever feel this, with someone who just happens to be our choice of a sexual partner, from a swinging site. My partner and I, we love each other, as in he is my life and me him, I would gladly give my life for him we are one. Every night we wrap ourselves in each others arms and feel each others warmth, god I am so lucky to have such love. Swinging is non emotional fucking with some person who really at the end of the day means nothing to me, nor will they ever affect my life, yet my partner is my life, and I love him so much. Swinging is just fucking to give an added extra spice.
