prompted by something bumpkin said...why do ppl start playing so late at clubs, i never understand it. It seems partially to do with drink, sadly, as people seem to need to get pissed to play...but surely that cant be the only reason?

last time i went to a club it opened at 8, but most ppl didnt start arriving till around 9, by 10 the playrooms were still empty...well until i went and say on a bed

i understand socializing, but so many ppl seem to wait till the end of the night, being pissed and tired when i play doesnt appeal...so any thoughts on why this is so common?

ppl need dutch courage i guess. Like how they pull in normal club near end of night. Also its case of waiting for someone to go first. And men dont want to get in early for fear of looking desperate.

i underatnd about the chatting ect...but if you were going out for a normal(god i hate that word lol ) night with friends, say a meal or something u would still have stuff like babysitters ect to sort...

But i have seen over and over again ppl come and start playing once i do...yes its a bit of a standing joke lol...but the getting to know ppl ect seems to stop mattering once they see someone else playing.

If I was going out for a night out with friends I would'nt be travelling up to 2 hrs to see them like I would with some clubs or parties

Im a real night owl anyway and will happily play all night,so a late start does'nt bother me,but thats not got anything to do with needing dutch courage or being pissed,I don't drink loads when im playing and won't play with anyone thats d*unk

i see your point about travel, maybe its a north east thing...people are unlikely to have traveled for more than an hour tops, which is not that different for many to going to Newcastle for a night out.

Probably less than 10 seconds on inner gut instinct

and 5-10 mins on conversation?

We visited a local club on friday night but as andy was working in the evening we had to choose one that didnt had a latest entry policy,we didnt get there till 11 pm, but still no one was using the playrooms, said a few hellos but soon got bored with that so took ourselves off n had the choice of playrooms, we wernt on our own for long but only the company of single guys,

Seems the couples were just wanting to sit around watching old porn films

Heres hoping that our fav club will keep its doors open for entry a little later and then we can go there instead lol

I have noticed that on open nights (singles and couples) then play often starts earlier. And once someone starts it usually triggers others.

On couples night they seem to spend longer socialising and play starts much later.

yep i agree. i have gone to a club cross eyed with frustration and not found anyone to play with, or been turned down by the only (for me) possible - yes it does happen to single women! and then ended up just having a lovely social night chatting to people and having a dance and perhaps a watch of others.

I can't really say I've noticed this expect on couples nights.. but I don't go to play on these nights anyway...

Although when I've been at chams I normally get there for 8ish and fun is normally well in progress... But that's normally a party night.

"its the mawling and grabbing on certain nights that gets my goat.

Some men are just animals, I have seen it for myself and they show no respect. On saying that their are probably some ladies like that out there too.

We're always too busy chatting on, it gets to kick out time and we're like "shit, where's the time gone.... who fancies a shag?" It's the reason we usually stay over so we have extra time to do this. Mind we're never in bed until about 3am on a normal day so at midnight we're kind of at our peak!
