Eyes wide open or shut

What do you think about eyes open during sex rather than the natural inclination to close them? What do you prefer and do you even care?

Personally, I find it's a waste of experience having your eyes shut during sex. I like to have mine wide open so that I can make eye contact (which I find a huge turn on) as well as visually savour the experience.

Sometimes it heightens the senses having your eyes closed.
