So I thought I was going to a meet this morning after a load of messages and got told when on their road that it’s cancelled. Anyone else have this problem ?

i suppose a club would be better, but I dislike the people following a nice lady or couple around I find it a bit creepy. Haven’t blocked the culprit I may even get an apology

I guess things do crop up but it's pretty poor to let someone down, I can be a bit of a nightmare to arrange a meet with but once I do, I turn up!

To be fair, clubs work for alot of people. It's unfair to try and put people off before they have even tried.

Lots seem to like the idea of meeting but can't do it in reality. They just like the thrill and get off on it.

There and to the left a bit

Guess the key question here is whether a reason for the cancellation was given and if it was genuine - depending on the answer to that would define whether the person concerned was a timewaster for me.

The fact they let you know, even if it was last minute, is at least something.

It’s a common thing in life no matter what it is, just let it go over your head and carry on. There is good on here it’s just patience and finding them.

I plan my social meets when I'm doing something else so if they don't turn up it's their loss I just carry on enjoying myself.

Many times guys have said yeah il come and meet not a single one turns up.

I think there's many dreamers and many people who want instant action.

I used to do without socials and the guys weren't truthful or didn't do what they said they'd do. So socials it is s out the undesirables more. If they don't think I'm worth the effort then they aren't worth my time.

We had been speaking with a guy/tv every day for a couple of weeks and arranged to meet, me and hubby booked a hotel and arranged to meet him at 8pm. He sent message saying he couldn't wait to see us and was just about to leave to meet us. That's the last we ever heard. He was online that evening and the next few days but refused to answer our messages. Cost me and hubby money for the hotel that we really could have done with. I wish we could name and shame as so angry.

Afraid so - you can think you’re so close to getting a meet and then suddenly it all goes quiet.... get used to it.

I have to say I've been pretty lucky so far, although that's probably cursed it now. I think you just have to dust yourself down and move on, seems like it happens a lot so no need to take it personally. I'm sure there's plenty of others who would love to meet you

It happens to me last week and the week before that. If someone cancels in advance it's understandable but to cancel when you've already travelled is a bit cruel

The worst... is when someone you have already met cancels last minute... and you’ve travelled & booked a 5 star hotel (Mrs C is clearly not a travelodge type girl). Happened twice late last year, both guys we had met previously, both super keen...

And then just to make it even worse, both of them posted they were looking to meet the very next day! Will they get another chance... absolutely not.... just forget about them & move on!

I dropped a meet partner after a few months of meeting due to him repeatedly cancelling on the day. Moved onto better things. Last year went to a meet and the guy said he was in a 'bad mood' and I went home without playing! Nowt as strange as folk. Stick to people I know now or clubs

It’s a minefield that’s for sure!

I only go to clubs after being messed about so much with socials in the past....

Decided to bite the bullet this week and post for a social and soooo many timewasters... come suck my cock etc.....

Clubs are brill for meeting people and making friends with in the swinging scene, no pressure and instead of that one person on a social there is a club full of people!

Just choose the right time to visit a club... so many fabulous events to go to!

You could always do private meets after making new friends

Sometimes it’s genuine. I’ve cancelled a meet today that I was gagging to make happen, as I’m unwell. I’m sure the guy thinks I’m bullshitting him.

But I’ve plenty of cancels and no shows over the years and they are infuriating. One guy has failed to show twice and actually contacted me last night wanting to try again. Ermm...fuck off mate.

That's because they ask several people at the same time then pick out of who agreed the person they think is better choice. It's rude and disrespectful behaviour. One guy did it to me it's funny because he also asked my friend too. Same bullshit messages he sent both of us. It's one thing to cancel which is perfectly acceptable with reasonable time but it's another to stand someone up wasting people's time and treating people as a last option.

I've been stood up many times to see new verification pop up on their profile. Then they say things like oh parents turned up, kid was sick, blah blah

It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman on this website the amount of times that you get turned down when you're on the road and you think yourself you found someone good to talk too can't wait to meet up with them and then last second they let you down that's just life

Happens all the time.once I was going to a meet and 5 minutes before I was to leave the house brother and his other half turned up at the door with pizza and beer.

Or you spend all day chatting with a couple who is just the male saying every thing. And then he tells the female and she tells him no way.

Or the single guy just wants a quick wank or just a dick that thinks that hiding behind a keyboard they can do whatever they want and it's just normal on here.

I spent 30 minutes at a prearranged pick up point and they right up to the last minute we be 5 minutes. Blocked me

Or they give you someone's else's address or phone number.

Someone once send over 70 guys to his ex wife house and she had to call the police as all these men started to turn up at her house and the kids and her got really scared

Just goes to show how we all differ. It would never cross my mind to meet blind and turn up at some strangers house.

However, if I did I'd allow for windup merchants and roll with it.

At least they let you know... No consolation I know...

One guy cancelled when I was already at the arranged meeting place but I gave him another chance, spoke on the phone, couldn't wait to see me blah blah .. Guess what? Stood me up again, didn't respond to any messages....I reported him.. Motives are beyond me...

Or the woman who invites you round to her house, and when she opens the door, you feel like asking if her daughter is in? I’ve met two women who used out of date photos to lie about their age, but obviously thought I would just take the sex on offer anyway......
