"No not anal you dirty minded lot. Autism, I am on the spectrum, I have Aspergers as it used to be known. I think I manage to come across fairly neuro-typical on here because of the nature of being online means conversations are slower and I have time to formulate my responses. However real life situations are a different matter, my social inadequacies become glaringly obvious, (struggling to make conversation). Which is a huge hinderance when most women want good conversations or even worse, banter. I’m struggling, anyone any ideas?" Without giving too much away, we TOTALLY get it. It is possible to find the right person/people, we are testament to that. It's hard to give advice because what works for one person isn't another's cup of tea. Maybe try to arrange a small social in a place you are comfortable/confident. Maybe share your interests and see if anyone fancies a board game or table top game session, for example.

"Your not alone I'm recently diagnosed as autistic Be honest with the people you talk to if they don't get that you are wired differently they ain't worth your time" Thanks, unfortunately I find most people can understand it and be polite but don’t want to have to deal with it. Too much of an effort I suppose compared to other neuro-typicals
