Travelling huge distances to meet

So FAB is full of people with different likes and dislikes and wants and needs. But one thing has always perplexed us. Why on earth would anyone message someone the other end of the country and ask to meet to play and expect us to say yeah sure....Come on down.

Is it just us or is that a bit odd? Answers on a postcard please

Club Meets Only

They may just search for "who's online now" & send messages on the off chance of expecting no reply, I doubt they bother much to read a profile. Many times I've been asked where I'm from

The very first couple we met (in fact our very first time meeting anyone) travelled from Liverpool to meet us. I'm still amazed they did but hugely grateful too. They set us off on our path of debauchery

Travelled to clubs across the country and stayed over at hotels does that count?

I don't really think it matters, if someone messages me that live pretty far i wouldn't rule out a meet. It's more important that we get along over the messages, if so then I'd be more than happy to meet. Maybe it's down to me actually enjoying travelling though, everyone has their preferences I suppose

It depends.

If I'm meeting overnight or possibly for a whole weekend I don't mind travelling 3-4 hours

I probably travel the furthest, usually play in London so that’s why I message people miles away.

We forget the UK isn’t that big so to get around it doesn’t take to long at all

We often travel long distances & like to combine a weekend away with a meet!

To find 4 compatible You often need to search a big area

We’ve had meets in Dubai and India although we were kind of planning to be there, we revised plans and the couple took an internal flight to meet us.

The longest trip I made was 100 miles. It was someone I had been taking to for ages in chat. We decided we had to have a weekend together.

We get it for people who have built up a rapport etc but it's just the randoms that message and say want to meet after zero correspondence and get narky when you decline.

Sometimes a return flight is cheaper than driving down the road.

I've wanted to meet someone for a while now but he's pretty far away. He once suggested coming to Edinburgh and I said no.. That would be far too much pressure and I'd feel awful if we didn't click.

If either of us happened to be traveling near each other for another reason then I'd absolutely go for it. X
