..... we may still frequent the forums for a while but does anybody else take breaks? We have decided purely because of stupid messages, asshole comments (not comments on my asshole btw

) timewasters and people thinking that this is a hook up site and think that i am a piece of meat to fuck when they feel horny sometimes not even knowing how we even look!!!

I know people will say just block and move on but swinging used to be fun and exciting.

I know people will also say try clubs but we don't really fancy clubs as hear mixed things but thats not to say we never will just atm we don't want to

Oh definitely. It’s tiring being on here day in day out.

I tend to spend a week or so here then have a few weeks off.

It’s not helped by the vast numbers of folk wasting time, looking for wank fodder and blatantly lying.

Fab just feels like hard work, we go to clubs and I find it so much more enjoyable, it’s the same as fab getting to know someone but it happens a lot quicker and you know they are real and right infront of you, sadly I don’t really bother with fab anymore too many time wasters either not brave enough for an actual meet or just want a chat. we have breaks from the clubs too now and then, sometimes it’s fun sometimes it’s full of wham bams and I’m not into that either, your definitely not alone, funny old world of fab

You have to have your mind set in a certain way on here - basically not let anything or anyone bother you!

We set our filters very tight, block loads from local updates and as a result get very few messages - very occasionally we get one we're interested in.

But if Fab just isn't doing it for you, a break sounds like a good idea, good luck

Fab is almost impossible to find meets on as there's just so many fantasists and dreamers whose asses starts nipping when shits about to get real and they run a mile, ghost you or the worst fail to turn up. After so long you realise its just not worth it.

Clubs on the other hand are awesome real people face to face and action aplenty. Even on the nights me and my wife have just fucked each other (3-4 times over the night) we have a fantastic time.

We can go a few months without swinging then we really let our hair down for a night of debauchery in a club.

Exactly the same reasons, attitudes, holier than thou people, its become more of a hassle than any kind of fun, and the rudeness of some on here just beggars belief that people can even get away with being like it to others

We feel exactly the same and have taken quite a hiatus from searching/messaging and meeting. Clubs isn’t really an option for us currently. We’re planning to attend some group socials in the near future to hopefully meet some people. We don’t want to rely solely online going forward.

I’m not sure, we have “swinged” for less than 2 years so not long really compared to others but I do agree with what people are saying, I find there can be a definite clique and rudeness (not the rude we’re looking for) on fab especially some of the forums but overall we use it to see when the socials are so it’s still worth it for us and some of the forums can be interesting.. other than that, I don’t rate it at all but it’s not fab it’s the people using it. Maybe they should add categories to the subject bar of messages, like genuine meet, flirt or fun five mins(material) so that people know what they’re getting although people would still probably be dishonest

Think there was a thread somewhere about swinging or hook up site and most of the responses were “it is what you want it to be” i was confused with this notion because the people that see it as a hook up site spoil it for those that want more of the swinging aspect of it all.

We have locked down our filters pretty tight which has drastically reduced the amount of messages we get Making meeting a lot easier. We now get around 8-10 messages a week unless we have been very active on here. It has improved our experience on fab ten fold.

Our is pretty locked down too, we are a little confused as to whether keep the profile hidden and take a break or lock it down to its tightest and keep it open,

One thing for sure the “fuck me now” brigade have deffo put us off a bit

When we through stages of this we just hide our profile. Stops all the stupid messages and the peace and quiet is nice. Also changing filters and taking off single men and non site supporters removes a lot noise

But single men was our preference tbh and was slowly looking into soft swap couples and taking things easy but the single men(not all) are the main portion of the problem for us.

We find the site has changed a bit over the years so we have just let our site support run out as we're only really using the forums.

Clubs seem the way forward for us at the moment, far less time consuming and it's nice to meet new people. X

Try not let it get to you. It’s like everything else the pub, the train, walking in the street. You’ll always get some random person asking stupid questions or being the most annoying person sitting next to you. At least here you don’t need to actually meet them.

We often take breaks, fab can be exhausting. We used to have the benefit of having regular play friends so we didn't have to bother with fab. Recently it's just limited time, and most want something instant, so we're finding other ways to have fun instead.

I've been doing this for about fifteen years and most guys have always been like that.

It's the nature of the beast. Most guys on here will fuck most women willing to fuck them. They are here precisely because they want sex without having to take the trouble of getting to know someone first.

To me it’s not even the meet and fuck that’s the problem, everyone is here for what they want but just be straight about it, don’t pretend you wanna meet then have all the chat and suddenly ur not free anymore or if you just want a fuck say that so you can be told that’s not what we’re looking for and not waste each other’s time, it’s the messing around I can’t stand, we get messages saying meet tonight and nine out of ten we can’t but at least they say what they want.. sx, has a social but downstairs that is 0pressure , we have gone to the club not fancied anyone and just played with each other many times, it’s not as scary as you think. Personally I find it more respectful because they know if they are not they will be kicked out or even bared. Again each to their own but it’s definitely better for meets

Took a break from meeting last year but still enjoyed the forums etc

I wasn’t actually banning myself from meets just wasn’t really feeling it and so didn’t actively look on here

Was a welcome break after 7 years in the scene

Our preference settings mean we don’t receive messages from single men which is a god send as we don’t have to put up with the endless illiterate messages of can i shag your wife tonight.

We have had little success in trying to organise meets through fab due to fakes and time wasters, so we don’t even try these days to use fab for meets as it’s pointless.

We prefer to attend clubs, this way we can meet genuine people without being stood up last minute and wasting money on hotels

When I started swinging, some 7 years ago!!!, it was great fun. We were out every weekend and a lot of evenings. Went to parties, clubs, dogging. Always met nice people and had fun without it being a major brain ache. It's definitely changed on here. Bunny boilers, weirdos who want me to shit on them, fantasists who get off on arranging meets then ducking out. I will give it a bit longer, but the fun seems to have left the building for sure.

Probably a bit of both tbh but the attitude and let me fuck your wife NOW mentality has certainly grown, the respect seems to have gone and for us it is predominantly single guys who think this is nothing more than a fuck site

Thank god there are others who think that Swinging has changed. It truly has.

We had Both Swung with previous partners and were delighted when we met to find out we both had an interest. We have only Played in Clubs this time but even there, the naughtyness seems to be lacking

All the Clique people who are regulars generally go off into locked rooms to play with other regulars. That is their entitlement. But the Naughty Swinging Vibe of around 10 years ago just isn’t there anymore.

I haven't bothered for the last 4 months really and still can't be arsed, so my profile is mainly hidden and I just natter in the forums and to people I was already talking to! It does get very tedious and luckily life is way more fun/exciting to be honest!

Always good to take a break and come back refreshed!

It’s nice to take a break from what you’re used to, I think it makes it more exciting when you go back.

Personally, we think it’s such hard work, and a waste of time, which is very precious, on here. Which is why we prefer to meet at clubs, at least there are other distractions if you don’t click.

I frequently take breaks, it becomes monotonous the silly comments, the time wasters and the cancelled meets. Don't get me wrong there's some amazing people on here, but you do require time away from the idiots at times. Just the state the site is going and unfortunately nothing can be done. Enjoy the break, relax & recharge
