Menopause is what it is and can be so different for every woman i was lucky i went thru it very early late 30s and never knew i went thru it until my dr told me i had ...but there are women who suffer badly and need help from there gp and other support groups .... by asking other women on here your just going to get a different answer from each and everyone making your mind even more muddled ...get her to her gp and if he does nothing then keep going back until he does

Me well as I've got older I've got a huge sexual appetite unlike my partner, and you just have to figure it out what works.....

Menopause can be as difficult for a partner as the woman experiencing it. I suggest that you arm yourself with as much information from reliable sources as possible, seek medical help from a different source if current treatment isn't helping and talk as openly as possible.

You might find your partner won't get back to how she was pre menopause. You might need to change the way you go about certain things due to changes she's experiencing. You will certainly need to find out why she's changing the way she has e.g. is she experiencing pain, insecurity about her body, depression, sadness etc.

Understanding of how you're feeling is important too, so ensure your needs are heard but don't expect them to be catered for in a way that you might prefer.

It can be very difficult. Try to understand if you can, seek help if you can't. This is one time in your relationship when as unfair as it might seem, you will probably need to make some sacrifices.

Good luck to you both.

My Own Little World

There are different types of HRT and different doses, if the 1 she has tried doesn't seem to work then I suggest she goes back to her GP and try another type and strength.
