How do people feel about naked people being in the lounge area of their local club? If you were a new person coming into your local club and there was a naked woman chatting to people in the lounge (no playing or anything just chatting) would you be offended or upset enough to complain about it?

Also if you run a club how would you deal with someone complaining about a regular member being naked if your club does allow it?

We have one! There's a gorgeous lady who visits our local club. She usually gets butt naked quickly and goes for a wonder around the bar and talks to everyone. Doesn't seem to bother anyone. She's such a lovely and it's strange to actually see her clothed.

There are rules like that in some clubs...my understanding is that they don't enforce them unless needed for other reasons. Could the lady have caused some other upset and that is the only recourse the club has?

We hear that. Although in one club, was really strange double standards. Kim was playing with a lady, not one member of staff battered an eyelid. Then she started to play with a guy, within a minute or so 3 different members of staff said "excuse me, no playing in the bar/lounge areas"

How awful for them, personally if that happened to me I wouldn't attend the club anymore I'd take my money else where.

I've been told in snarky comments from people in a club I should wear more they weren't direct but insulting nonetheless and people with their disgusted looks on their faces. Yes I'm fat and I have wobbly rolls and jiggly flaps and scars it ain't pretty to look at but I feel good being naked or in lingerie. But if they don't want see it don't look is what I say.

Inclusive clubs you'll see bodies of all types accept that or they should go somewhere with more appealing people by their standards.

Stand proud in what ever attire or lack of and let them moan and complain at least be comfortable in your own skin ignore the haters. Most likely envious too so fuck em let them go greeneyed because they don't have confidence to be naked.

Mrs F can't wait to get naked once through the door, that's what is so liberating about clubs. If she was told to get dressed we wouldn't go to that club and find one that is right for us. Very strange that a swingers club would ask you to be dressed in a certain part of the club.

A swingers club is where people can feel liberated and feel free to express themselves whatever they dress like. What a ridiculous request to cover up . I would avoid the club if they requested that . I've been to many club's and they encourage people to dress however they see fit. If that's naked then so be it. Unless there's more to it than meets the eye ?

I would say, if someone in a swingers club being naked offends you, you should select particular events where dress down only happens upstairs, for example, the townhouse have newbie events where dress down is for upstairs and they have events where dress down is anywhere xx

Surely clothing is optional in all areas of any (Swingers) Club. Sounds very, very odd that anyone would be upset or offended at seeing flesh in a Club.

The only rules we have at Pandora Swingers Club is that patrons have to dress down when going upstairs to the play rooms. In the bar you can be fully clothed or butt ass naked (As many do)

I was once playing in an open room when the management brought a group of newbies round on a tour. They stood in the doorway fully clothed having “the chat” about the rules in that area while we were having fun.

If it was their time, that was some “Baptism fire” for them. Lol.

Chams - Chameleons in Darlaston - is a dress down club so lingerie, a towel or naked in all areas. Apart from Tuesdays, after 6pm it's naked night!

Club shhh has already informed this lady that she can be naked in the playrooms just not in the lounge where we have nervous newbies coming in to the club to find out what its all about and are leaving because there not comfortable this lady is not being stopped from being in the playrooms naked we need to look after people and make sure there comfortable and happy u can dress down in the lounge or use your towel u dont need to be fully dressed

OP go to clubs that allow this, its what we do. As said by many people, lots wouldn't go to a club where you don't feel free. If a club has a rule like this that you don't like, just move on. Most clubs allow nakedness, in fact some clubs encourage it. We like Quest in Leeds for this, if you want to remain fully clothed in the bar area that's cool, but if you come from play areas where you have to dress down, there's no problem you being naked. Quest is a great club and we have sent many newbies their way and they've loved it so much Quest has become their club of choice.

Absolutely agree with this!

If the person complaining feels uncomfortable, maybe swingers clubs aren't for her! There are plenty of social only events to attend....

Also what happens if you've been playing naked in play areas and wish to head to the bar to grab a drink? Would you then need to get dressed?

I find it totally surreal that anyone would be offended by a naked body in a swingers club

Yes, I've wandered around in SX comfortably anything from fully dressed (where permitted) to fully naked (throughout) and through Cupids dressed down to naked.

But different clubs have different vibes, and it's about finding a culture that you mesh with, I suppose.

Clubs like people are perfectly entitled to set their own rules. Their own limits.

No apologies are necessary.

Having said that we would not be much interested in a club that operates this way. Nor the sorts of people it would appeal to.

That would be our choice. Clearly you feel in your situation this rule appeals to more people than the reverse.

It is good to know in advance.

The club has explained their reasons.

Whether people agree or disagree is irrelevant. But they've seemingly reacted based on customer feedback.

They're also not the only club who choose to ask people to keep nudity out of the bar area.

Most clubs allow nakedness, in fact some clubs encourage it. We like Quest in Leeds for this, if you want to remain fully clothed in the bar area that's cool, but if you come from play areas where you have to dress down, there's no problem you being naked. Quest is a great club and we have sent many newbies their way and they've loved it so much Quest has become their club of choice."

I love this about Quest. Its nice to start out the evening dolled up and then everyone starts to dress down.

L quite often wanders around naked, or if not very close to it. Never had any issue or complaints from anyone, at least to our faces. Also have no problem with others doing the same. They may or may not be our type, but do you.

Regards the previous, raises a good point. Judgmental people have no place in clubs, in any form. Be that the ones who are threatened by an attractive woman or the ones who would call others crisp munching fatties. Society in general is judgemental as hell, but we should all use our inside voices in clubs.

We overheard a group of people in a club one night sniggering and calling Mrs F 'Pretty Bitch' one night. Took it as a compliment even though the mud slinging wasn't intended that way. Such a shame some have to do this. Mrs F works hard to keep her body in trim. It's great to see everyone in clubs who have the confidence to be naked no matter what their shape or size. If someone hasn't the shape or size you like as someone said you don't have to look. Society gives in to soon to the minority of complainers these days in all walks of life.

Such a shame some have to do this. Mrs F works hard to keep her body in trim. It's great to see everyone in clubs who have the confidence to be naked no matter what their shape or size. If someone hasn't the shape or size you like as someone said you don't have to look. Society gives in to soon to the minority of complainers these days in all walks of life.

I was a newbie on my first club visit New year's Eve, early on in the night a guy walked past totally in the buff through a crowd of mostly fully dressed people, I was clearly the newbie when I did a double take haha, no one else seemed to even notice but for me it was unexpected as I was told dress down was upstairs but I certainly wasn't offended. I enjoyed the view and my first thought was how confident he was and how thrilling to be the only/first one naked.

Later on in the night two women were enjoying oral sex on the bench seating in the lounge, I'm undecided if this should have been saved for upstairs. Still watched though

I've got no problem being naked in a club either, but clubs are not catering to me alone. They have to consider the needs of all of their customers.

New people are particularly important - you want them to come back and become regulars, replacing the old regulars who inevitably slip away. Some new people will be nervous. This might be a completely new experience for them. The lounge area is a transitional space where they can adjust from the outside world to the club proper. And it's a safe place that they can retreat to if it all gets too much, without having to leave altogether.

The one house party that I've been to had the same arrangement. Downstairs was tame. Upstairs was not. There was a mixture of new and experienced swingers there, and this accommodated all of them.

Getting comfortable with a club environment can take time for some people. It makes sense to me that a club will arrange things to help them with it.

I don't know the club in question, and obviously I can't speak for any club. This is all hypothetical. But that's how I see it.

It's not a matter of being offended (that word seems to only be used when people want to dismiss another's experience), but of being comfortable and feeling that this is a place that you belong. If you're fully clothed (because you're not ready to jump in just yet) and surrounded by naked people, you feel very out of place. You feel that you don't belong. You'll be tempted to go somewhere that you don't feel that discomfort, and if that's outside the club, then they've maybe lost a potential valuable future member.

It's the same as the compulsory dress-down rules in play areas. If you're the one naked person in a fully clothed room, you feel very conscious of it. It's not a pleasant experience for most.

The gym is different. That's brief purposeful nudity. You don't get people lounging around naked for a prolonged time just because they can. They're naked between the shower and getting dressed.

This isn't some pseudo-Victorian notion of people unable to cope with the sight of a bare ankle. That just doesn't happen (at least, not among people who choose to try a club), which is why it's such an easy straw-man to dismiss. It's about belonging and feeling included.

Other clubs are free to have their nudity-everywhere rules, if they've decided that these concerns for nervous newbies are not that significant, or they're less interested in catering to the inexperienced. There's no single right way to do it. It's up to the individual club to decide what sort of club they want to be.

Ultimately, their club, their rules. If those rules offend you, you are free to go elsewhere.

Personally there is no need for nakedness in social areas or bars.

If there a regular they know better.

If there a newbie, just explain the rules again.

Very sorry to hear this we have never been to your club but I think that if this is the case then you have the power to make the relevant changes and to be fair your probably best keeping the majority happy and gaining more customers

In your previous comment you mentioned newbies and protection? Would it be possible that most people new or otherwise would be expecting to see nudity in a swingers club and to be honest nobody should be going to a swingers club if they are offended by nudity like others have said and would they just be staying in the bar area all night?

It can be intimidating going to a club for some but we wouldn't consider nudity something that anyone needs protection from?

Generally people in clubs left to their own devices (where clubs don't have this rule) don't just walk into a club at 8-9pm and pull off the flasher Mac to reveal their birthday suit and sit in the bar but later on in the early hours might wish to go to the bar and get a drink after a hot steamy session and not want to fully suit back up and to be fair buy this time it's pretty fair enough to say most people in the club would or could have seen a fair bit of flesh and more by this point would it not? Plus you don't get meny just fully Clothed in in the play areas all night either

Think I Will take this club off my list of clubs to try, heck I'm normally naked as I step from reception area to the bar

It's like that program that used to be on TV were they go though the door a normal Jo blogs come out singing

I go in to reception and as they press the button for me to enter the bar I'm like "and tonight Mathew I'm gonna be naked" and as the reception door closes I'm all ready butt naked two steps in to the bar area and often stay that way all night or with a towel looped over me if I've just got out the jacuzzi and feeling a little chilly, sometimes I Steph out of my comfort zone and but some sexy stuff on but I'm more comfortable naked than in clothes any day of the week, I often leave in just a jumper dress and shoes aswell as can't be bothered getting dressed to leave
