Being an old goth myself (well, once a goth always a goth actually) I love alt/goth boys and girls.

I used to go to a London club called Slimelight. Lots of rubber and pvc there on stunning people.

I also like the skinhead look on women. Check out Imogen Poots in the movie Green Room (it’s quite a violent...and I mean violent... movie though so be warned). She looks fantastic.

Still alt! I’m mainly curious because of the number of completely mainstream guys who think I’m up for anything because “Goth girls are dirty” - and I know this is a common problem for alternative women.

I’m an alt girl. Been called a slut and assaulted by mainstream people for being it. Such a boring attitude. Been asked if I self harm and am I really filthy in bed- lol, no stereotypes there then.

On here I find as many like my look as dislike it (too much ink) but doesn’t matter what I wear- even in a tiny pink dress, my ink and piercings give a hint to my being alt xx

It was hilarious. At a medical ball and a consultant said “you know you’re into heavy metal and things like that, are you into self harming as well?” He even made cutting motions to his thighs! I just laughed and said no.

I used to take the piss and say I’m only happy when I’m miserable, lol xx

Definitely stick out compared to them but not necessarily within the wider spectrum of people. I suppose now tattoos/piercings are accepted more pretty much everywhere and freedom of expression is allowed then the line is getting blurrier imo....

My fashion sense makes me stand out a mile however.

There’s a very good rockabilly bar in nottingham called billy bootleggers. Real dive bar in a good way
