How important are verifications on your profile when looking at potential meets? I view them as a sign of being genuine but not necessarily the be all and end all of if I am to meet somebody

They are just part of my decision making about meeting someone

I like to read them ,but they are not everything.

Would you meet someone who didn’t have one?

"Would you meet someone who didn’t have one?"

Someone has to...or a lot of folk will never get a veri, or a meet, for that matter.

over there by that tree

I run with Pics, Bio, Veris before deciding to send a message - I want to be intrigued and challenged by what they have on their profile.

I thought it would at least show I was safe and genuine. Doesn't seem to have made any difference since getting one. To be fair, my profile is a bit crap

Personally only verified, some where they know someone you know, to many idiots to waste time on.

Yes, similar feeling here.

I've met people with none - other factors gave me the "feel good" about the person's authenticity.

Mine tend to come from people asking for a verification and reciprocating.

Then I just tick the box saying "display on profile".

But I do wonder sometimes if too many can be counter-productive (I have about 20, I think).

If they are local to me and post here in the forum, I do sometimes offer to meet them for a coffee and a veri

I pay for my own coffee though and it's *just coffee*

I do like to check veris. If the guy has a type of woman that he meets etc. If a bloke refuses to show his I generally avoid tbh. Don't want to meet someone that has a high footfall of veris but that's just me. Each to there own I know though

Brighton - even Hove!

You probably need a couple to prove you’re real.

I worry when I can’t see any especially if people have been on months and not got any

Plus let’s be honest we all look at the verifications to see what type of people the person/people have met previous

Part of the process of finding out if they are genuine but not guaranteed. I don’t meet people without verifications, in my experience they tend to waste my time, plus it’s a safety issue x

"You probably need a couple to prove you’re real. "

My thoughts too, enough to give and indication of who you/we are.

If there is a theme from different perspectives, usually a good indication of people.

Yep, agree you have to start somewhere. I assume everyone joins without any, so all had this at the start.

Exactly this. When I first joined Fab I got messed about by a few unverified men. No veri’s no meet now.

I take no notice of them. Just because you click with the last person find mean we will.

I prefer to take people on face value

I assume people who have meet-verifications are slightly less likely to be time-wasters (although not 100% true).

I am very cautious of profile with only single (and hidden) verification. I treat it almost like non-verified profile.

Verification is useful to see what they like, if they have a few it builds up a profile ,also useful to see if genuine

They can make or break it for me. I have rejected many based on their veris despite me finding them attractive. Great filter

I won't meet unverified men. Bad experience with an unverified guy. Lesson learned the hard way

I get hassles if I put any veris on.. From the ones I didn't meet. So decided months back not to add any more.. No one needs to know my business.. Plus I ain't trip advisor.

We prefer to meet verified people but equally will suggest meeting at a club if they haven't- some just haven't had the opportunity. Although looking at it from another angle...we've had people freak out about how many verifications we have, they get overwhelmed and think they shouldn't message - most of them are social ones or ones we have accumulated over the 4 years we've been here. We have also had people view the people we have met via verifications and said no based on that

Yes i would but only after alot of chat. I would also expect them to travel to my hometown if they were not verified

For us verifications are part of the decision, but not the be all and end all. We will meet unverified people if the attraction is there.

I read the profile, check out the photos and if all's good I'll message. If I get a response I'll check the veris out

So many fakes on here, some far easier to spot than others. We follow the veri trail and look how they’re worded too as there’s so many fake veris. One veri from club owners is enough for us

If someone has been on here for a long time and has no veris, I tend to ignore them.

I think veris are important but the people who I have actually met don’t believe in them so I can’t get verified, and if I can’t get verified then less people will look at my profile, so for me it’s a catch 22

Useful to know if people are reliable and get a general feel for what they're like. If someone has been on over a year without a single verification that's usually a good indication that they won't turn up. They're not the be all and end all but do help make a decision.

yes I’ve had a few people who don’t give veris because they believe the whole veri process has been devalued by some people treating it almost as a “diary”.
