Anyone else think fab is quite boring now, no one wants to put the effort in to chatting which then means there’s no chance of meeting... can only talk to the people who are local regarding a meet and if they don’t feel it then what?

It's been alright for us to be honest. If nothing else it's a good way to keep in touch with people we've bumped into at clubs and wanna arrange stuff with down the line. That and the forums crack me up.

If you are having trouble OP, get out to socials and clubs to meet new people.

As a guy on Fab it can be hard to strike up a conversation sometimes but perserverance is worth it.

I think in the last 2 years it’s got way more popular and even more men have signed up thanks to articles in the tabloids basically saying it’s a site where you can get laid. The ratio of men to women is getting bigger so it is harder to get replies when women are simply overwhelmed with choice.

Totally agree with this! I rarely reply due to the mail being only worth a delete. Yes much higher volume of males but when the quality is rubbish not easy at all.

Op, if you've ever thought of how much dross most women and probably couples have to sift through each day then maybe you'd understand a bit clearer why a lot of men do just get their messages deleted.

I dont think I get anywhere near what some have said they get and even that can be too much and the quality of those messages is bloody awful.

Take constructively what others have said about your profile and maybe how you approach those you message and things might change.

Your last message certainly won't have helped though that's for sure

I mean, honestly I saw that comment as a bit of a joke to be honest, not a dig at you.

To be honest though, whilst not exactly related to the thread itself, people have raised solid points regardless. Not in any way trying to be insulting - this is just the truth as I see it - but your username is along the same lines as those used by the guys who send out the gross, expectant one-liners we just delete outright. I'm not for a second suggesting you do that, I'm just drawing the comparison. Stuff like that forms people's opinions whether we like it or not is all I'm saying. Same as having a dick pic for a profile picture. Lots of folks will dismiss you outright, even if you happened to be exactly what you're looking for.

Anyway, you seem an intelligent bloke, so you must know that what constitutes are 'boring' is ridiculously subjective? It depends what you're here to find. If, for example, I wanted to build a hareem of supermodels to gratify my every sexual need, then sure Fab is boring (because I've only managed to find two or three ). As far as it goes I really do just wanna chat for the most part, and to that end I've had some great conversations with people here, and some of those have led to us wanting to meet.

I think this site is very different for single guys vs single women...as men probs outnumber women by about 20/1 at least! Women will feel like they are getting all the attention they need responding to a select few where as men unless very attractive have to put a hell of alot more work in to gain a reply...but are you not willing to graft guys? The fact is if a new single guy makes a profile with a few pictures and isn’t very attractive or doesn’t look attractive to the women on here they won’t get any messages, how many times do you a girls profile that was made a few hours ago say in her status “sorry I’m flooded with messages I can’t respond to them all” so girls get it much easier, boys will be boys and message women, but women on here will only reply to guys who meet their requirements and are local, boys have to put the graft in... so for all the uneducated people on here taking this way out of proportion I simply said fab is getting boring because once you’ve tried with the women who are local and that’s that then that’s all you can do, women who do seem interested are always too far. And as for the username comments that’s just bullshit, women are so special now your username has to be worthy before you even get a reply lol think a few people on this site get messages from lads then think they are the new porn star in town

You can't change your gender.

Or your height, general build, facial features, knob size etc (without surgery of course).

Nor can you change what other people find attractive, are specifically looking for, have preferences for sexually or the individual little quirks that make them find someone appealing.

You could change your location or be willing to travel (might be a ballache though).

You can't change whether people read a message or not, browse a profile before doing so to ascertain if you're of interest, have a full inbox or an empty one, are busy working or have all the free time in the world.

The point I'm trying to make is that the only things you can control relate to you. Nobody else. So worrying about them, trying to change them or getting 'bored' because someone you find attractive and have messaged isn't responding or doesn't feel the same way - it's all beyond your control.

Worrying about it and getting frustrated by it is what's making you 'bored'. Not the site itself.

Do you really expect people to show interest in those they're not? You said it yourself - if a guy makes a profile that doesn't look attractive to women then why would they interact?

Focus on what you can impact and forget the rest. You'll worry less.

Yes. Boring. Hence I'm only using it for clubs and parties. Having a drink with a Fab friend later and will discuss this with him. For me though, too many timewasters and too many people who dont see this as a lifestyle choice. Just want a 'bird' they can shag when it suits them. Like we are trash. Used to be SO MUCH FUN!

I'm finding that there is less and less genuine women on here, seems to be a lot of up there selves snotty nosed women so picking through the fakes the cheats and the ugly there isn't many left luckily by then the women I do meet are awesome and not had a bad experience with any of them.

See doing things as stated above was not fun for me all my free time lost to trying to stay on top of my inbox, looking at profiles nothing like what I'm looking for, politely declining etc.

Now I've got my profile set in the way that works for me.

I message the men I am interested in it's much more fun and leads to more fun in the streets & sheets

I chat, sometimes... But it soon turns to flirting, not on my part... That's not chatting. It really bugs me, especially when my profile states that I am not looking for playmates and I make sure this is known... I don't want to flirt with the majority of the men that message me, anyway, so chat tends to stop.

So women should meet local men they aren't attracted to just so you don't have to make an effort?

I think your issue is that you think this is a sex site, swinging is generally more of a lifestyle choice than a quick hook up.

For me, it’s become a little boring. But I think that is mostly due to the fact that a lot of the friends I made here are no longer on here.

One of the regular evening socials no longer runs which again has made things seem a little quieter.

With the festive period over and routines falling back in to place, it’s picking up.

Just wait it out OP, it might just be the time of year! Who knows what’s coming
