I've got 2 dogs, I pay a dog sitter when I'm away on holiday.

I have a family friend come round and drop holiday block foods into the aquariums and the budgies go away to a friends.

So most of our pets get a holiday when we do

I wouldn't put my old man on a flight for that length of time. I'm not convinced he would cope with the weather change either.

If any of you lot know a good dog sitter for August in the East Midlands for a week that has a liking for a big fluffy pooch as I am struggling to trust anyone and don’t like him going to kennels but push comes to shove that’s the options unless you lot have better idea ?

Sounds familiar

Normally drive home at silly o clock in the morning

We love them but can make things difficult

Try the TrustedHousitters website. I'm on there and done several sits. Everyone is verified and has feedback, so your house and dog will be pretty safe.

Hiding from twats

It would be worth asking for recommendations for dog boarding or dog sitting on your local FB page. Lots of dog walkers around here offer boarding too.

When? When you're at work, out for the night, on holiday?

Gatwick area

Have reptiles

Makes getting away for a night easy... less simple accommodating sometimes though for those with phobias

Dont get them in the first place if you have busy lives? Just a thought

Guernsey

We have 7 dogs, when we go away they come with us if it is in the UK. If we go further afield then they get split between family and friends. The parrot and bunny are looked after by a neighbour. During the day they all have free rein of the whole house.
