Shibari Rope Play

Bath & Surrounding

Been looking at this for a while now and am constantly amazed at how cool the art of it looks, so I figured I'd give it a go.

Any enthusiasts or seasoned practitioners out there who can offer a helping hand to a novice.

I'm very aware how to use YouTube so I'm looking at it from more of an advice, guidance, good site recommendations, workshops in the Gloucester/Bristol area; that sort of thing.

TIA FABBERS, stay saucy

There is a thriving kink community so there is likely a peer rope event locally. Both Bristol & Gloucester.

Google is your friend

Up on them there hills

This is stunning play.

I know a little, have worries around pressure/nerve points.

However, some of the suspensions are stunning.

So personally will leave at decorative bondage at the moment.

I'm with you, I just want to get the basics down first, and safely of course

Have a look online for Anatomie Studio. They’re based in Peckham, London and run regular Shibari classes and events. They also stock a wide range of natural Jute rope and other sundries too

When done properly OP, this is truly beautiful. I especially love it with the different coloured silk ropes from Japan. To do it justice, you’ll probably have to join a class.

Love the artistic side of it and definitely want to get tied up one day with shibari style.

I heard the one in Peckham/london is very good but hard to find other places locally if you live outside of London

That is definitely the plan, I'm a practical learner; show me once and I'm good to go.

Possibly if you are on FL look up Northampton rope. But they only admit to their sessions people who are verified by people they trust. I am sure there is a Cambridge rope group but I can't find it at the moment on and FL.

Anatomie is worth a visit, Thursday is beginners and Tuesday is more experienced people.

They do other stuff there which is worth checking out.

Also Twisted which is a non sexual kink event held at VA had riggers there.

I would just add that although one of the rules of Japanese rope is that ties should look good, artistic rope is more of a Western rope style which drains what is erotic and perverse out of Japanese rope. I have picture books on Japanese rope and I love it.
