Have you?

Was anything said, or did anything pleasant or unexpected occur?

As a tgurl, I'm apprehensive of being recognised.

I was outed at work. Still dont know who the fuck it was, although have suspicions.

Very awkward meeting with the bosses. It wasn't a problem per second, but they quite reasonably thought I should know. It was an anonymous letter. Hasnt affected my employment, and the top brass were very discrete

I’ve been recognised by a guy at the gym from my tattoos, but the best one is I recognised my neighbour and decided to reveal myself through here and ever since we have had such a laugh and have got on fantastically well. Made a proper friend for life

Someone in a local pub shouted fabswingers after I walked past her, I found that amusing.

I've also been outed in work for the use of a different site, that was hysterical, I was privvy to colleagues group chat and the things they discussed about me

Bristol East

I can think of two or three occasions, inside or outside a bar in Bristol, when someone wondered if they recognised me from Fab.

A few messages, asking if I was person walking on such and such street.

Some years ago, someone at my work too it upon themselves to circulate images and a corrupted story about doing a strip-tease at a swingers club.

A colleague alerted me and the IT people offered to block a link to some long-forgotten image on Flickr (nothing rude).

I removed the page myself rather than involve the company.

Once I got over the initial surprise, it turned out to be a liberating experience.

I still work for the same company, and it appears to have caused no harm.

I'm required to complete a security vetting exercise annually. I'm asked to declare anything that would make me vulnerable to bl@ckmail. My family all know of my lifestyle and nothing I do is illegal, so it's always a "nothing to declare'.

I live on the Isle of Man so it’s a fairly regular occurrence. I’m not worried who knows, and if I recognise anyone then I’ll be totally discreet about it.

In the mid 2010’s I had a fuck buddy who was a family friend and we grew up together as kids. She had returned to the island after moving away and I stumbled on her profile. We met for a chat and just decided to get on with the sex! Loads of fun for a couple of years then she got married. Still very good friends now though.

Total sideways but... Lola Belle and Lisa Belle, don't suppose you are sisters? Cousins? Maybe identical twins

Back to the OP, i don't recall ever being accosted in public for being on here, though i did once get a message from someone that said they saw me in tesco (must have been the bright green hair, four inch heels and backseam stockings that gave me away - post club late night shopping lol).

I do regularly get approached just for being myself though. Possibly the most bizarre was the guy I'd never seen before who just walked up and asked if i was married! He didn't look like a multi-billionaire with a dodgy heart though, so i thanked him for the compliment but turned him down

We had a guy recognise us that lives local and female knows (but hates) he recognised male on his single profile when we were first together and then sent screenshots to female saying 'look what he does, he fucks trannies and you still shag him' to which female replied, I know everything he does. He then blocked female on Faceboo.k after she refused to sleep with him.

Couple of months pass and he messages our single profile and sends a lot of face pictures, we then block him because we don't want the hassle to which he then starts harassing female on Instagra.m Eventually he blocks her on that too after she didn't reply.

Looking at his profile he is incredibly discreet and uses a different name, his bio is all lies and he doesn't want to be found out.

We won at the end of the day because he's wanted to fuck female for a long time and he's going nowhere near her

Not yet but it's bound to happen eventually, Exeter's a small place. Saying that, I don't really mind. I'm not in a monogamous partnership or cheating on anyone, I don't do the kind of job where being open about this kind of thing could do any damage, my friends are all open-minded enough not to care and there's always the chance that someone sexy from here might see me out and about, like the look of me in real life better than they did my profile pictures and come chat me up.

That's a tough call to make to be fair as I think just as many people would prefer that not to happen, especially if they're out with friends/colleagues/partners etc.

My way of handling it would probably be to make that person aware of my presence by just saying "hi" in passing, leave it at that and then message the next day saying "was that you I saw in the Dog and Duck, I was the bloke in the black hat and jacket who said hi when you were having a smoke in the beer garden" or whatever. That way you respect people's space, maintain discretion and hopefully are recognisable enough/made enough of an impression so that they remember you from the night before.

Up on them there hills

You know what, never.

Looked in a mirror once, nothing

However, the exposure of ladies necks, makes me flutter.

Love a jugular photo.

Was recognized about a year ago by a young lad who i sent a face pic too. Said he went to a social club i went to as a teenager but from his info and pics, i had no idea who he could be because he was a good deal younger than me if details were correct. Made me very anxious as it means he knows my gf too but nothing ever came of it.

I assumed that he blocked me but i think he deleted his whole profile because im on a new account now and still cant find him.

To be fair, id love to be recognized by a close mate on here and have someone to confide in.

The people we recognise on here are actually the ones who introduced us to swinging and who also suggested this site.

However, we have recognised two couples on here from nearby, who the Mrs. deals with in her work life. Now, whether or not they've come across our profile and identified us remains to be seen.

Whatever the situation we'd never out anyone, and we have chatted to both couples at business network meetings and surprisingly Fab was never mentioned!

I think if someone messaged us to say they’d seen us out and about it would be quite nice in a way.

I would be very surprised if anyone would ‘out’ anyone in public as it would just make themselves look stupid !

We agree. However, some in this thread have been 'outed' with seemingly malicious intent and it's had an effect on their work lives.

Some nasty folk around.

I have a had a guy come up to me in Tescos and ask if I was on Fab. Turned out he was the male in a couple I was messaging.

Also found out a lady I was flirting with, when to the same school as me. She was a couple of years above me, so I did not know her at School though. Small world!

My brother was browsing the photos of a kinky party and spotted a photo of me (non-explicit!) and decided he wouldn't go. :,D

A friend shared the photos of a guy who messaged her on a kink site and I recognised his tattoos - my brother again!

London scene is a smaller world than you might expect... We're both comfortable enough knowing each others' interests but pleased not to have ended up at the same parties!

I've got loads and I'm continuing to build a solid case but it takes time. I'm doing it the right way rather than piping up about her drug use although I'm heavily advising the company does random drug and breath testing to make sure nobody is putting the clients in a predicament

Exactly.

I had a 'reputational disrepute' clause in the contract fro the company I worked for for over 15 years. They sacked people for posts on social media that would cause embarrassment to the company, one for getting d*unk and walking naked down a corridor in a hotel at a business conference and another a messy affair with a client's wife.

Losing your job for being a swinger is perfectly possible. Simple to avoid with common sense of course but in no way illegal.

Oh - and yes we've been recognised by someone as when we first started out someone tipped off the MIL.

I'll add here that I already knew my cousin had a connection to the TV/TG world. He visited a TV dressing shop while I was there back in the 90s & I arranged a straight talk over a pint, where we agreed to keep our secrets a secret & ourselves to ourselves - a pity cos I'd have loved a friend to go out on the town with back then. Running into him at a local tgirl night at a swingers club really upset my mojo & apparently cramped his style too lol.

But yeah it's definitely made me think again about visiting. It'd be different I guess if he was a neighbour or coworker but family? Nah that's too close for comfort. A big shame because it's one of my favourite haunts!

Remember the EU law on Privacy states that individuals shall enjoy a "private" life, so your employer cannot sack you because they saw you on say one of my videos, or you are a swinger or like to wear womens panties on a weekend.

Subsequently those threating to expose you are breaking the law, and reporting to the police is highly recommended as it comes under the new harassment law.
